Nice win by Detorit... wonder if Wade will be back for Game 7... it better go into OT!
Sun Jun 05, 2005 3:22 pm
Andrew's obvious observation #25385/A: Dwyane Wade is extremely important to the success of the Miami Heat.
I hope Wade plays in Game 7, not to take anything away from Detroit because no matter what kind of asterisks you want to place, any time that makes the NBA Finals has worked extremely hard, but it would feel a bit anti-climactic if the Heat are shorthanded in Game 7 and the Pistons walk all over them.
I'm hoping for a Spurs/Heat Finals, but I'm afraid to put any support of the Heat in writing, what with the jinx and all.

Either way thats 5 bomb threats in 2 games this year(2nd game back to detroit for the pacers receiving 4 bomb threats before the game at auburn palace) is a bit fucking much. In all honesty Stern should take stronger action against this behaviour even though there were no bombs in the end they are still guilty of posing terror threats. I could picture it now if Bush was in sterns position he'd declare war on detroit and bomb their ass.
I think he needs to bomb Eddie Jones for that 1-9 performance when his team really needed him to step up.
That's Eddie Jones for you. When has he ever stepped up at money time?
Sun Jun 05, 2005 11:19 pm
at least he's not as bad as Jamal Mashburn was
Matt, you gotta stop calling shit in man
yeah the phone bills are high, might have to SMS the next one in

What a terrible game, but I mean what did we expect, a less than 60% Shaq who still put up 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 blocks and no Wade, their was just no wining this game.
Mon Jun 06, 2005 2:42 am
i wonder what the severity of the injury is? i mean it must be serious if he couldnt play, but i'll guess we'll see when Wade has to run through some screens.
Mon Jun 06, 2005 3:18 am
I just hope he can play on Monday...
If not, we're officially screwed.
Mon Jun 06, 2005 4:27 am
I hope he can play on Monday as well (and I'm a hardcore Pistons fan). If he is too hurt to go in game 7, and the Pistons end up winning, everyone's gonna bitch and whine that Detroit can't beat a real team at 100%, and bring up last year's matchups against the Lakers and Pacers in the playoffs. It's unfair to the Pistons to get criticized for this, as it's not their fault their opponents keep getting injured at bad times.

Matt i think Larry Brown was going for the kill so he played almost all starters til the end...
Larry Brown said no easy layup wothout a foul despite leading by 20 plus points coz if you let this Miami reserve made easy basket, they will fieel much better going to Game 7, that's what Marv said and i agree with him.
Well i think Wade will play but i doubt we will see the same Wade coz he's injury will somehow affect hs move esp. going to the basket.
I think Pistons will win this one....

i feel ya on this.....but, in reality, the NBA season is a MARATHON and if you get injured that's too bad and you can't discredit the other team for that. Only the strong survive.
Plus if your out there playing, theres no excuses.
If i was Brown I'd go right @ wade, get physical with him....obviously work him on screens, and if he plants himself for a charge then go right into him....sacrificing an offensive foul will do more damage to miami than detroit.

I was just thinking, what if Wade's injury was planned ahead,so it would be no 'surprise' that they lose in Game 6 ,which would make the series go into a 7th game.
Rasheed kept saying stuff like 'They want it that way, they want a Game 7 and they're going to get it.' Of course he was then referring to the ref's bad calling, but could it be that Wade's injury was on purpose?
I realise this is far fetched but it's just a thought crossing my mind so ehh.
Mon Jun 06, 2005 8:05 pm
uh...this isnt the WWE. this is the NBA
Mon Jun 06, 2005 9:19 pm
no way that it was staged
i think Ray Allen questioned if the league was fixing games back in 2001 when his Bucks lost in Game 7 ot Philly.
Mon Jun 06, 2005 9:46 pm
like i said, it aint the WWE.
Besides, theyre versing the world champs, you wouldnt want to do that and risk losing in 7 games. besides, the less conference finals games they play the fresher they are for San Antonio in the finals...
Tue Jun 07, 2005 1:32 am
Wade's Father says Son will play
do or die its now or never so might as well give it a go
Tue Jun 07, 2005 1:38 am
I on the other hand think it's fixed and the the Heat will play the Spurs for the championship. So yes it's the WWE.
In my opinion anyway.
Tue Jun 07, 2005 3:32 am
Yep, nobdoy wants to watch spurs vs. pistons...

Tue Jun 07, 2005 10:42 am
Wade's playing, great.

now DJ has left with an injury.
Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:06 am
jeff van gundy came out about the game being fixed and all but we never know if there is a conspiracy
Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:20 am
God Damn I got 20 bucks on the Heat. Fuck you Pistons
Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:27 am
Eddie Jones just made a half court 3
Pistons up though, they opened that 2nd quarter great.
Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:41 am
Pistons vs Spurs series will be very good for basketball...2 good defensive teams going at it=fun
So far, the pistons are leading at the half, i hope they maintain that lead for the good of mankind.
Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:47 am
Ok, now Detroit are firing blanks
DEFENSE!!!!!
Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:56 am
