Post a good straight up pic of you ( with your lips closed ) and a headshape suggestion in the Patch requests sections and ask for someone to make you a CF and portrait...

Mr. White is far better as a PF than a SF... Storm is still the starter when he returns from injury, though...

JANUARY 28, 2005

THE GAME: GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS vs. SEATTLE SUPERSONICS

Image

Jason Richardson scored 6 out of his team’s 11 first points in the game, leading on offense and making the difference in the early stretches of the game. It wasn’t long before Seattle picked up the pace and evened up the game , though, with Ray Allen bombing away from the perimeter. The quarter ended 27 – 27. In the second period, J-Rich kept on putting the ball in the basket, all the while Luke Walton was providing his regular spark off the bench. Baron Davis dominated young and inexperienced Luke Ridnour at the point, controlling the game tempo and putting the Warriors in the driver’s seat for the remainder of the half. After 24 minutes, the score was 64 – 46 for Golden State.

J-Rich was doing his job as a starter, and Luke Walton his own as a sixth man, leading the warriors to a big half-time lead…

The third quarter started as the second one ended, with the home team totally in control. Baron Davis was still steering the ship faultlessly, up to a point around the 9th minute when he was fouled out on a checking charge. Without their leader, Golden State seem to falter, but only momentarily, since there was only Rashard Lewis fighting for the Sonics, ending the quarter 87 – 69. The 4th and final period of this contest saw Luke Walton start at SF, and actually managing to contain 6’ 10” Lewis on defense, all the while he was scoring drives and follow ups on the offensive end. Even with BD absent, the Warriors never lost control of the tempo, with JR Bremer doing a fine job replacing the team’s main star. Adding to that a three point fest near the end to thwart a late comeback attempt spearheaded by Ray Allen, Golden State defeated Seattle easily, 114 – 98.

Rashard Lewis was trying, but ray Allen and the rest of the Sonics team was way below par throughout the second half, while Barton Davis’ absence in the 4th was not felt…

POG: LUKE WALTON 21pts – 8rebs – 5ast

Nica game from the bench for Kapono

3 out of 3 from afar... he's streaky but when he gets hot there's no stopping him... plus he's calm under pressure, can hit the buzzer-beater (Y)

Stro was still recovering from injury... I wanted to ease him back in...

Great dynasty. Especially the recaps, I'm looking forward to reading them. I got one suggestion though, I'd look into trade Dunleavy. Walton seems to be doing fine, maybe look into giving Mike up for a draft pick, such as the Hawks or someone. It all depends on the draft depth, and who is near the top of you draft board. Anyways, just my two cents.

Tell me you don't like the Nets... aren't they the Knicks' local rivals... unlesss that was irony...

Nah, I like the Nets. Unless they're playing the Knicks..

Good win vs. the Sonics. They have a record similar to yours.

I agree with those two cents... Draft depth is very strong but it doesn't really matter as I am now putting in the real 05 rookie class in the dyansty... I'll see how things go and scout for any teams willing to give up picks... Dunleavy is definiyely on the trade block...

Yup, now sitting 7th in the West and rising... (Y)

If we keep on playing like this, we might end up winning the Pacific division, as it's pretty tight right now...

Coming Up: Golden State visits Staples Center once more, this time to face the Clippers. The two perennially underachieving and playoff-less teams of the Western conference are currently sitting in playoff seeds and are looking stronger than they ever had in the last years. This is the final game of the season series, with the Clips leading 2-1. How will Mike Dunleavy fare against his father's team? Will the backcourt explosive duo of Davis and Richardson take charge once more? Or will Elton Brand's All-Star performances prove too much for the Warriors' weak interior defense? Stay tuned, and find out...

THE GAME: LA CLIPPERS vs. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS

Image Image

The Warriors went into this game hot from the field, with Mike Dunleavy Jr. coming off the bench and proceeding to torch his father’s patience and poise, with long bomb after long bomb early on. Mike Jr. had 13 points in the first quarter, and Mike Sr. had 3 timeouts in the 1st quarter… which ended 16 – 22. The Clips surged back in the second, led by an inspiring Elton Brand who was dominating the paing against Murphy. Baron Davis finished the half with 6 points, 5assists and 2 steals, and along with Andris Biedrins’ contribution of 6 points, helped Golden State stay in touch at half-time,49 – 45.
The second half saw the two teams taking turns in having scoring runs. First the Clips made it 59 – 46 led by Chris Kaman and his 10 points, and then the warriors came back with a 4- 18 run of their own to make it 67 – 66 at the end of the third. The fourth and final quarter was all Warriors, and Baron Davis in specific. The UCLA alumnus racked assist after assist, jumper after jumper, and helped the visitors mount a charge that gave them the victory, 89 – 101.

J-Rich gave Golden State fans and staff a scare late in the third, suffering a back injury, but it turned oiut to be nothing important. Baron Davis’ leadership during the final stretches was imperative for the Warriors’ victory…

...from the Annals of the 2005 Birdie Project: (info)

DWeaver99027's Warriors 2004-05 3-quarter season Birdie Breakdown:

Although Davis and Richardson have been putting solid performances thus far, Troy Murphy appears to be all over the court and takes Team MVP honors with him- flying in with a weighted Birdie score of 19.05- and his 'reversible' Live Card is now enabled.

Not too shabby for the first go 'round:
This Dynasty instance is currently ranked #22 on the Official 2005 Birdie Board

Complete 'Birdie Breakdown' coverage AND to see Murphy's ' reversible' Live Card click here.

DWeaver99027: Hey I still need to get you on the Livedynasty map! Can you reply here with your City/Town, State/Province and Country? Thanks again for your contributions and let me know when you finish up the season too!
