hello there bandwagoner

Spurs bandwagoner every year since 1995... Admiral fan ... no surprise I'm rooting for them to win it all this year...

TD has 17pts - 7rebs - 3ast at halftime. Tony Parker is 8/12 from the field... (Y)

I've always liked the Spurs ever since Duncan came aboard. Hope they win it all, if not, then I wouldn't mind the Suns to win it, or the Pistons to repeat.

sup, Franchise fan here for about 10 years

If you've been a bandwagoner for 10 years, wouldn't you qualify as a fan by now?

More like half-fan... My heart belongs to Golden State... Maybe I just needed something to cheer about come playoff time...

Mon May 09, 2005 1:49 pm

wooohoo!! spurs beat the crap out of the sonics...finals here we come!!!

Mon May 09, 2005 3:23 pm

I hate Tim Duncan, although I was also a long time David Robinson fan (Y)

I want Seattle to win however.

Gen. DWeaver99027- IT'S OK WE GIVE YOU FULL FAN STATUS NOW

Fan since 1989 baby!

If you suffered through that 1996 season, you qualify as a fan.

One of the best Spurs moments was when they snatched TimVP in the lottery with like a 4% chance :D

The season before the Spurs lost 4 starters for almost the whole season; it was deserved!

Mon May 09, 2005 3:30 pm

i was smilling the whole year long when the spurs barely won 18 games
but now they're ok to me (Y)

Mon May 09, 2005 3:59 pm

That was the right time for the Admiral to get injured... along with the others... divine intevrntion for them to get no 1 and TD...

Talk about one in a million... and if you consider how Gino and Tony were acquired late in the draft, you come to the conclusion that if god watched bball, then he's a San Antonio Spurs fan... (Y)

Let's go, sweep them undersized, contract-expiring, crazy-shooting, defenseless Sonics...

Mon May 09, 2005 4:25 pm

if God did watched basketball.....he'll surely be a micheal jordan fan (Y)

Mon May 09, 2005 4:57 pm

Mon May 09, 2005 10:04 pm

they should have had Sean Marks on playoff roster :shake: ....he's their new Jack Haley

RE

and if you consider how Gino and Tony were acquired late in the draft,

That's what you call a little bit of luck, and a great front office. :D

Mon May 09, 2005 10:29 pm

more great front office and scouts rather than luck for Gino....luck that Magic passed on Parker....

Mon May 09, 2005 11:40 pm

what we need is a good ole boring Pistons vs Spurs matchup in the finals. For me, that's an exciting series, none of this Suns vs Heat bullshit. Bring on the half court bball. (Y)

I don't know why, but I just love watching them crack up the defensive intensity. They are relentless savages. Don't get me wrong though, I do enjoy watching a fast paced style like the Suns and Mavs.

Remember that game in the regular season when the Spurs beat the Suns in the 130s afetr OT... That's the mark of a great team, beating the opposition in their own game... If SA had a shot-blocking Center like Camby or dalembert to compliment Duncan on defense then we'd be looking at 80 ppg allowed and 70 wins, easily...

Born and raised in SA, I've been a fan since the Iceman's days.

Should go down as one of the best regular seasons games ever, along with the lost to the Lakers last season in double overtime without Parker and Duncan, SA can play at a real high level, no doubt about it. I love this team, no I love this franchise.

Yes, actually I do remember that game. It's awesome how the Spurs were able to change their game and strategy to beat their opponments in the best possible way.
