Nice to see guys like Fred Jones and Jeff Foster playing well and contributing, you're right this Indiana-Detroit series will be alot closer than many people think.

Nice to see there are still true fans, passionate about their teams without throwing various containers onto the court...

Cheers for you, Indy (Y) (Y) (Y)

What a blowout on the road... poor beantown...

Indiana-Detroit should be interesting, given all the bad blood this year... the spotlight wil definitely be on them, during round 2... I'll be watching.

Fuck.

What happend?

We played well in the first quarter, setting the tempo, going to Gary Payton in the post.

Then we stopped.

Our half-court offense consisted of isolation to either Antoine, Ricky, or Paul. Totally predictable. Atleast when we isolated to Payton he knew how to kick out. Three black holes on the floor at the same time doesn't work.

Totally heartless loss.

Great Game, they are certainly heading to Detroit on a high note.

I just finished watching the press conference and they brought out Reggie, Jermaine and Jackson all at the same time. Typical questions untill the very end when they were about to leave and Jermaine said he had something to say. Jermaine said there was something said after last game that the conseco fieldhouse was closed and it was reggie's last home, well I can tell you that THE FLEET CENTRE IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!!

Damn, Walker got owned

Great win for Indiana, but it was Stephen Jackson who led the charge rather than Miller, who scored just 5 points and missed both attempts from downtown. While it may have been more poetic for Reggie to erupt and lead the Pacers to victory, perhaps this was for the best. Looking back to the final regular season game against the Bulls, the Pacers struggled when the contest was focused more on a "Reggie Miller Night" gameplan but came back and won when they played as they normally would.

You got beat by a better team thats what happened.

You set the tempo in the first quarter???? The score was 22-20 Pacers lead. If you had set the tempo the C's would have scored at least 25.

We were in control from the tip-off.

But, the celtics are finished, goodbye, enough talk about them. Now lets move on.

Pistons: I am extremely confident. This group is getting healthier and healthier every day. JT will be 100%, JO is getting stronger every day, I think we are going to win, and so does Mark Jackson :).

I'm excited.

And to who said they feel sorry for beantown... are you nuts? They won the Super bowl and the World Series!!

Holy motherfuck! They gave up the game beginning with the third quarter. What a blowout at the end. I'm still happy Boston is out, because they were under a lot of pressure, and nobody would have expected them to get to Game 7. Even I wonder how they did it to Game 7. The series should have been 4-1 to Indiana. I just saw them winning Game 7 because I'm a fan, not because they really could do it.

Boston just isn't a stable and firm team yet, Payton and Walker are there only one season. Without Walker, they wouldn't even get close to the playoffs. They need some more practice, and next year they're going to get further than this year. Nice to see Indiana playing at Detroit... :P what will the Pistons' fans do in Game 7?

Go, Indiana! I hope Indiana rips Detroit, and also Miami. I wanna see them in the Finals.

But, you said...
Boston will take it in seven.
Sorry, Indy, this was a nice post, but I still think the Celtics are gonna get it. And I even get support (taken from NBA.com's Blog Squad):

Listen up, kid: Read my post carefully and then come with these stupid questions. I said I'm a Boston fan, and since they made it to Game 7, I wanted them to win, that's why I posted this. But they had no chance from the beginning of the series. They were lucky to win three games.

Read to achive, Drex.

what the heck. First, I can't believe I couldn't watch the last 3 quarters of the game... (girls tend to have priority over NBA)
second, I didn't watch the game so the only way I can see how they lost is through looking at the box score...
there's NO WAY Boston could ever win a game when:
-they shoot 37% or some garbage like that from the field (N)
-Ricky Davis scores 8 points (N)
-Anthony Johnson and Fred Jones scores at least 5 points
-Justin Reed enters the game

OMG, I'm so happy Indiana won, since my Knicks aren't in the play-offs I have to root for another team and Indiana is a team I would like pretty much too if I were a completely neutral fan.

@ONYX: sorry dude I'm not looking for beef again, but you're contradicting yourself. First you were all confident Boston would win and now you're saying you're happy they're out and that they did better than expected? They were the higher seed for god sake!

Also, Indiana was under a lot of pressure too, Walker and Payton have had more time to adjust to the Celtics' game than Stephen Jackson to the Pacers'. Imagine what would've happened if Artest was there to guard Pierce for 7 games.

Well, if artest hadnt been suspended not only would the series against Boston not have gone 7 games, but we wouldn't even be playing Boston. We would have just completed the sweep of NJ and getting ready to play Washington.

 Now, kid. Let's take a look at what you've said...
I'm sure I forgot a lot of things, and my English isn't the best. But, please, Celtics fans, help me get this game to be considered the first win of the Celtics' championship run. Peace!

If the Celtics start to move and think, and especially defend closely, it isn't really that hard to beat the Pacers. Pierce always encourages the team and puts up big numbers after that, and that's what makes this so special about the team. He's the leader, and I don't think they'll lose at home with such a great confidence as they have now. They noticed that it takes some effort to win, that's why they're playing so good right now (win by 31 points). After the first game they thought it would be very easy in the next games, but Indiana fought back and showed them some of their game. As I said, now they know what it takes to win against the Pacers, and I don't think they won't let go after that win (like they did after the first).

If you said all that, and you didn't expected them to win, you're;
1) Not a real fan
2) A stupid fuck
3) Both
Everybody knew this series could go to either side. The Pacers had a good chance to advance, but the Celtics had it, too. Teams are lucky to get 3rd seeds

The Celtics are just way too inconsistent. I think it was game 1 that I watched where the Celtics just took it right to the Pacers and blew them out. Then their guys start getting mental lapses and start rolling downhill. I think guys like Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker are good players, but I don't think they can be leaders. When they stop thinking straight (which happened plenty in this series) the team goes down fast.

Sometimes I wonder if you're being sarcastic or not..? It seems like you are a little overconfident in your favorite team ;)

This series should be close again this year, though it's unfortunate that Indiana is ailing from injuries still. If (ahem.. when ;))the Pistons end up winning, all the haters are gonna pull the "But Indiana was playing with an injured O'Neal and Tinsley" again this year. Detroit never gets enough respect for being a great team, and that's why I really want them to tear apart the Pacers. I'll be nice and predict the Pistons in six games only so Reggie can give his final goodbye in his home court.
