There were some bad calls but I have to say it was pretty even. Celtics only shot 4 more free throws which is because they play a more aggressive style of offense. Without Ron the Pacers don't get a whole lot of free throws besides Jermaine.

Another huge key tonight was Dale Davis and our reserves played excellent tonight. Dale picked up some huge rebounds and he turned into an offensive threat with 13 points. James Jones came off the bench when Jackson got in foul trouble and hit some big 3's pouring in 10 points. Foster and Pollar also played well, chipping in 8 points together.

I agree. The MVPs of this game were JT and Dale big time. Great great win.

Boston wins in OT....Walker carried them nicely in the 4th & OT.

Game 7 @ Boston.

Fri May 06, 2005 12:29 pm

LMAO, this will be interesting (Y)

I predicted Indiana in 7. At the very least, I've got the 7 right. ;)

Fri May 06, 2005 12:45 pm

Pacers played pretty horrible and still had multiple chances to win. All I hope for is that Reggie goes out guns blazing whether we win or not I don't want him to leave anything on the floor.

Fri May 06, 2005 12:48 pm

Reggie Miller not competing hard in a playoff game, let alone one that could be his last, is kind of like Oliver Miller dunking from the free throw line. Anything's possible, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Fri May 06, 2005 12:49 pm

the only thing oliver miller dunks is donuts :P

Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean he won't compete, he always plays his hardest. I meant I wanted to see him take control not pass up shots like he did tonight.

Fri May 06, 2005 12:55 pm

I know, but Oliver Miller jokes are too easy.

I almost broke down in tears after yesterdays game. We had so many chances to close it out and be rested for the pistons. Instead we fucking blew it and let the C's back in it. Awful. I have to say, i would give reggie the green light whenever he gets the ball if he was on my team, but the shot he took at the end of regulation was plain dumb. We had 11 seconds to get one bucket or get fouled, but reggie forced a shot.

paul pierce... thank walker for saving you from being the scapecoat

Sun May 08, 2005 12:59 am

Boston will take it in seven. Too sad Reggie's Pacers lost in his last home game.

First think about what he already has done in the series against Indiana.

This is it.

Game 7 tips off in about 8 hours, and I am extraordinarily nervous and excited. I believe we will win, and I believe this will NOT be Reggie's last game. I ask you Stephen Jackson, I ask you Jermaine O'Neal, I ask you Fred Jones, James Jones, Jamall Tinsley, Anthony Johnson, Scot Pollard, Dale Davis, Jeff Foster, Eddie Gill, I ask you to please make sure this isn't Reggies last game. Leave it all on the court. Play this game as if all of your careers were on the line, not only Reggie's. Reggie is going to come to play tonight, and all of you need to give him the scoring and defense support he needs. Please Rick Carlisle, let Reggie be the man tonight. Reggie has been the go-to guy for this franchise for 15 years and let him have another go at it tonight. Reggie, you have the green light tonight. I know you will use it wisely, because you have for your entire career. I never question any shot Reggie takes, I never question any play Reggie makes. Reggie, do it tonight, make it not one last time, but only another elimination game where you send the opponent home and make a bow to the opposing crowd. Lay it all on the line tonight, bring on the Pistons and then lay it all on the line against them. We may not win it all this year, but people are underestimating how much better this team gets every single day, because everyday Jamall Tinsley and Jermaine Tinsley get healthier. Win game 7 guys please. I don't want it to be Reggies last and I certainly don't want the last game I went to this year to have passed already in game 6. Come on guys, I hope your warming up now, its battle time.

Do you feel motivated? I feel motivated. Psyched even. I'm going to take that shot OMG I am going to take it.

Note: I did not read all of the post.

 pierce has had some good games but man..it all goes down the drain if the celtics lose beacuse the team's best player has a mental breakdown like that. plain and simple

see bill buckner

Regardless of what happens in the play-offs, the Celtics are good to go for next year. The rookies'll only get better, they have Clevelands (lottery) pick and such.

you should have heard what I had to say before game 7 of the 1998 Eastern Conference finals, Bulls Pacers. Or Before game 1 of the NBA Finals in 2000, Pacers- Lakers. I think I could have gotten Larry Bird hyped up with my words then

Sun May 08, 2005 5:15 am

Man, I'm so excited. 4 hours left. But I will have to go to bed in some minutes, because it's already 22:12 here. Sorry, Indy, this was a nice post, but I still think the Celtics are gonna get it. And I even get support (taken from NBA.com's Blog Squad):

Clyde Frazier wrote:I'm going to go with the Celtics in Game 7. You always have to go with the home team. It's really the only thing separating these two teams. It's also a must watch game, considering that this ultimately could be Reggie's farewell.

But there's also a little obstacle for the Pacers that they have to overcome:

NBA wrote:The Indiana Pacers will have to overcome history if they are to eliminate the Boston Celtics from the playoffs in their Game Seven clash Saturday.

The Celtics are 14-2 at home in Game Sevens and have not lost one on their home floor since Philadelphia pulled off the feat in 1982. However, this will be the first Game Seven at the Fleet Center, not the venerable Boston Garden where the Celtics became one of the greatest pro franchises in sports history.

In fact, Boston has not played a Game Seven anywhere since losing at Cleveland in the Eastern Conference semifinals in 1992.

Indiana is just 1-3 in the seventh game of a series and winless on the road. The Pacers will also be trying to avoid an 0-14 mark when losing the first game of a series.

Sun May 08, 2005 5:36 am

You have the support of the nba blog squad? Well, the headline blogger is scottie pippen and

Scottie Pippen wrote: I think Indiana has the edge. They are a much better road team and with their experience and depth, I think they will prevail in this series. There is going to be a lot of pressure on Boston because they have to defend their home court.

Scottie wrote:I would rank Reggie as one of my top five all-time great competitors. He could even be No.1. We were both members of the NBA Draft in '87 and I watched him for three or four years before. I knew he would challenge me as a player. He comes to play every night. You want him on your side in a Game 7. I have played with him in the Olympics and All-Star Games and he is the ultimate competitor. If he is going to go out, I expect him to put up some big numbers. I do not see him going down, though. Reggie has made such a name for himself playing big on the road and Saturday won't be any different. He lives for these moments. All of the great ones do. He has thrived in big pressure games whether it's at Madison Square Garden, Chicago Stadium, Conseco Fieldhouse or at Staples during the 2000 Finals. This Game 7 in Boston is a chance to add to his legacy. The FleetCenter may not be the Garden, but you still feel that old Boston tradition so I am sure Reggie will make this a very enjoyable game.

Who cares if any of these 2 get through...
I just wish they can beat Pistons next round...

I don't even agree with him, but Scottie is fast becoming one of my favourite guys. He's been giving good opinions on games and teams. He's almost on the level of Paul Shirley in the blogging world.
