Thu May 05, 2005 1:22 pm

PHOENIX IS TEH CHAMPIONS1111!!!!11!!1!1111

I belive Phoenix will take the championship this year. :D

Thu May 05, 2005 2:28 pm

As much as i hate it.............the spurs will take it.

they just finished off the nuggets now i cant see em being beaten.........well the suns could.

Thu May 05, 2005 2:30 pm

I say Miami. That's right, Miami.

Thu May 05, 2005 3:34 pm

San Antonio Spurs, baby.... nothing can stop 'em now... Seattle is going to get swept and Phoenix might win a game or two, tops... As for the Eastern team in the Finals, only Detroit can make it a 7-game series, and they'll still lose to the Silver and Black... Go Timmy (Y)

Thu May 05, 2005 3:59 pm

Detroit all the way. I'm feeling good about it. The toughest opponent would be Phoenix because they are like the Nets of last season for the Pistons, except better. SAS would be tough as well, but Indiana & Miami are in the way first.

Thu May 05, 2005 4:06 pm

i hope detroit but spurs are gona win it :(

Thu May 05, 2005 4:56 pm

i'm crossin my fingers for houston.....but if not i reckon an east team to grab the goldware (Y)

Thu May 05, 2005 7:43 pm

Heat.
Duncan will re-injure his ankle sometime...
Just like some people were saying about Karl Malone's injury, and they were right.
Duncan will re-injure his ankle, for sure.
As for Detroit...I just plain don't like em. Same thing with Spurs too.
GO HEAT!

If Andrew proclaims Spurs or Pistons will win it all, then all Spurs or Detroit fans should be scared.
:D
I doubt he'll proclaim Heat will win it all. Just a hunch. Has he already made a prediction?

Thu May 05, 2005 10:24 pm

Only up to the Conference Finals.

Thu May 05, 2005 10:30 pm

The team that is going to be the first with 4 wins in the finals. [/Magic Johnson]

Fri May 06, 2005 12:09 am

Of the teams left, I'd want the Suns, Rockets or Bulls to win it.

Fri May 06, 2005 1:40 am

I think Miami will.

Fri May 06, 2005 7:41 am

miami, but it'll be a scuffle with detroit before the finals. so it'll actually be a good series in the finals because detriot will foul shaq literally 150+ times, with 140 of them being hardass fouls.

im rooting for chi-town though.. pffff

Fri May 06, 2005 3:15 pm

1.rockets (Y) (Y) (Y)
2.suns
3.any team who got lucky and wins it all....i dont care (N)

Fri May 06, 2005 5:06 pm

I'm gonna say San Antonio. They beat Denver 4-1, and the Spurs could've won game one too. Denver was probably the hottest team in the NBA, but the Spurs have been impressive in holding them down. The Suns are a legitamate contender, but they're not experienced enough, even though they are impressive. Sooner or later, they'll be shut down, probably by the Spurs if Dallas/Houston doesn't beat them to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit takes it home again, but to be honest, I can't see Miami winning the championship. Sure, they have Shaq and Wade and a nice supporting cast, but they still lack depth. If Shaq or Wade goes down, they are toast.

Fri May 06, 2005 5:10 pm

They might lack depth but they have players who can step up big time... Damon Jones, Alonzo Mourning, Udonis Haslem, Eddie Jones... I think it's alot like the Lakers really, I mean people could say they didn't have a great deal of depth outside Shaq and Kobe but guys like Derek Fisher, Robert Horry and Rick Fox always stepped up a notch.

Fri May 06, 2005 5:15 pm

Good point. I guess it's guys like Shaq and Kobe/Shaq and Wade that makes the supporting cast look good. But, if they ever meet Detroit in the Conference finals, I still say Miami is not going through them

Fri May 06, 2005 5:22 pm

What's with Big Shot Bob anyway? Who winds him up for the playoffs every year? Now if the Spurs had gotten Fish as well, they'd already be champions in my mind.

Fri May 06, 2005 5:33 pm

Realistically

Top East contenders:
Miami Heats
Detroit Pistons

Top West contenders:
Phoenix Suns
San Antonio Spurs

My prediction

Miami VS Phoenix

Winner: Miami

Ps. Miami will win it all if Shaq is 100%. Wade can't do everything by himself. If he is not then Detroit will make it to the Finals once again. Same concepts apply to the West top teams. If Tim Duncan is not 100% then the Suns will cruise by them.

Fri May 06, 2005 6:22 pm

i doubt the Suns will cruise to anything. Even w/o Duncan the Spurs will be a tough beat.

I don't care what people say about Phx's playoff inexperience, until they meet a team that can slow them down then it's irrelevant. That likely will be San Antonio but Phoenix can still beat them. Hell, even Seattle could beat San Antonio, although it looks like an unlikely outcome.

Out East, i think everyone but Detroit & Miami should just give up now. I don't see Boston or Indiana winning more than 2 games against Detroit if that.

Whoever plays Miami will probably notch just 1 win, if that, given the way Wade's playing. Then there's Shaq who hasn't even started playing properly.

Final Four should look like Suns vs Spurs & Heat vs Pistons. Those are the 4 best teams in the league.

Fri May 06, 2005 6:56 pm

SAN ANTONIO. :chug:

Sat May 07, 2005 8:27 am

i'd like to see the suns win it all

i think if shaq & td are healthy, their teams will be in t he finals.. miami winning... unbiased opinion :cheeky:
