Phil is not going to the cavs. They would be horrible in the triangle unless they trade away everyone except Bron and Drew.

Minnesota have a real shot. Kevin Garnett is a top player and Phil Jackson loves to coach a big player. NY - no chance.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's gonna be the Cavs because all they need is LeBron James and build around him, just like they did with Jordan.

yo fellas, Phil is going either LA or Cav. LA because of Kobe Bryant and Cav because of Lebron James. He aint going to NY, they got not big stars in there

A return to the Lakers makes for an interesting story, but I'd be a little surprised if it happened. Phil has already accomplished goals and faced challenges in LA, and given his rocky relationship with Kobe he might want to avoid the headache. I think Cleveland and New York are the more likely options. Cleveland because of LeBron, and New York because of his history with the franchise.

Phil is most likely going to go back to LA or NY... LA for Jeanie, Kobe and then NY because of the big star atmosphere...

I think he should go to cleveland, but he wont. I agree that its LA or NY, and for some reason I dont see him going to New York.

When I was younger, the perfect girl was rich, owned a bar and had a good coke connection, well I've aged as has Phil, I'm thinking rich, heir to an NBA team and may have a good coke connection...ya gotta love Phil's chances of winding up in LA.

Lebron has reported that he is interested in getting Sonic's head coach nate McMillan. The Cav and management are willing to pay up to 10 millions per season for a top head coach. Also, recent finacial reports from the Sonics and showed the team losing 17 millions this season therefore the chances of keeping McMillan are very slimmmm.

I don't know where Phil is going. But wherever he chooses to go, I wish him well.

Thanks.

I highly doubt Nate would go anywhere, he's a permanent fixture of the Sonics. He played all 12 years of his NBA career there and was immensely popular, he became more popular as both asst. coach and head coach. Even if he gets offers for more money elsewhere like Cleveland, he'll stay in Seattle as long as he's head coach. If the Sonics mangement don't resign Nate, they'll probably have to deal with a riot bigger than the WTO disaster.

My suspicion is that PJ will go nowhere or NY. After LA he's explicitly said numerous times in his book he's tired of being a babysitter instead of a head coach, and i'm guessing he's going to be extremely wary of clubs where a rock star player has the entire management kissing their feet...LA & Cleveland being prime examples.

There will always be confrontations between head coach & star player, and in LA we all know who the management sided with. PJ's pride (and ego) won't let him get into that again.

I still wouldn't rule the Knicks out or no return at all for that matter (an option that we haven't really considered), though it does seem a return to the Lakers is not unlikely. It's interesting that the Lakers can treat people however they please but not suffer from it.
