Conference Finals
NYK: 142
PHI: 141
Knicks lead the best-of-7 series 3-1
Gilbert Arenas comes from way out there, for the 3!! Arenas hit three straight 3s in the 4th quarter.
Knicks win 3rd Game. Davis scores 33. Garnett takes down 13. Arenas 3 from 3 in the fourth quarter.
The first half was as high-scoring game as any game we've come to see form these two teams, but the two teams tore down the boards in the second half scoring in amounts any showtime team would be proud of. The teams scored a combined 156 points in the second half alone. Warning: If you're a fan of great defense, this was not the game for you.
The game is run and gun. With Garnett at Center for the Knicks and Shaq at the 5 for the 76ers, the Knicks had the advantage in terms of tempo and speed. Shaq was alright the first half, already earning himself a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. But he did not have as good as a second half. The 76ers played right into the Knicks hands with the running game. Baron Davis and Gilbert Arenas would force turnovers in the backcourt, and Baron Davis reached double-digits in steals by the first half! Despite the tempo obviously being at the Knicks advntage, the 76ers hung in there and the game was close. The game was close early on in the 4th quarter and the Philadelphia 76ers had a 1 point lead, but then New York hit four 3s in a row(3 from Gilbert Arenas, 1 from Casey Jacobsen(the 2nd)) and took control of the game, never looking back.
Baron Davis was the Knicks high-man with 33 points, while the 76ers Doug Christie had another great game scoring a game-high 37 points. Shaquille O'Neal finished with 16 rebounds.
Knicks are now up 3-1 and look to close the Sixers out Thursday night back in New York City.
