Nuggets vs Spurs (Manu-led Spurs leading Nuggets 3-1)

Postby The X on Mon Apr 25, 2005 12:26 pm

I'll post this thread now prior to result of the game....

the score is currently 81-79 in favour of the Spurs....I think the Nuggets really need to win this game to keep their momentum going and have any chance of taking this series off the mighty Spurs....

The Spurs seem out of sync.

They might lose this game.

interesting, the Spurs drew blanks the 4th quarter.....good thing for Spurs it's a 7 game series, that'll give Duncan some time to get acclimated. I can't see the Spurs NOT winning away

I wouldn't have picked the Nuggets to take Game 1, but I still pick the Spurs to win the series. Great victory for Denver though.

I really wish I coulda seen the look on Barkleys face at the end of that game. Talk about not being able to judge a basketball game. I knew the Nuggets had that game when they came back at the end of the first half and Barkley dismissed the rally as a fluke.

Nuggets are 19-1 at home since Carl took over.

You never know, nuggest may win the series...
Karl did not take over when the last time nuggest played against spurs in the season yet. Duncan still cant be 100% yet...

But... 2 years ago, even when Spurs lost both home game to suns, they came back to win the series... you never know...

This was a good game. Nuggets are 31-7 the last 38 games... now its 39-7... can anyone give this team some respect? I said it before Denver pulls an "upset"... ain't an upset when you look at that 31-7 number... but to everyone else - especially the media who never seem to do any kind of research these days - it will be an upset.

I was expecting Najira to go nuts in this thread... :? :P
Anyway, good win for the Nuggets. Like Goldberg said, this by no means should be an "upset" if it happens. The nuggets underachieved during the first part of the season. Most people predicted they would be a 4th seed or something.
I still pick the Spurs in 6 :P

I would think that if the Nuggets did win, it would be in 7.
The spurs may be a little too solid & consistent to get (almost) swept in 5games.

It may be difficult to call it an upset seeing how the Nuggets finished the year and entered the playoffs with a 49-33 record, but they're still the lower seed. Whenever a 7th seed knocks off a 2nd seed that are as good as the Spurs have been the last few years, it's an upset. Not to the extent of the Nuggets over the Supersonics in 1994, but an upset nevertheless.

Dre's scores 31 yet no one makes a big ha-ho about it, but if Steve Nash did it their'll be a thread admiring his holy abilities.

Nuggets will win it in 6, quote me on this.

As much as I support the Spurs, the Nuggets are fast taking over as my fav team(yes Im a bandwagoner and proud).

Yup right from the day Dre signed with them.

Its like this, my fav team is the Spurs but I always tend to support any team Dre plays on, if they matchup against each other Id always take Dre's team side in this case thats why Im taking the Nuggets side but also in the mix is Camby whose my favourite center in the league and Melo who I also happen to like alot.

The Nuggets can win this... but when Duncan gets back to 100%... they will be stuffed... anyways- this will be a good series. Sicne LA is out, im rooting for Melo and the Nugs!
