Ummm Kobe scroes 52 last night against Houston , what is that his 9th straight game with 35 or more , all he needs ias 5 more and he passes Wilt? ...Com on they'all shouldnt even consider any other person for MVP , its amazing for some one to get that many points in that many consuctive games with a big man that is controlls the game (SHAQ has been injured the last to games) .

Any one who thought that T'Mac was as good as Kobe is wrong , T'mac was close but Kobe took it to a level that we all can compare him to MJ ....T'Mac lacks the IQ , he take questionable shots and some times forces it to much (cant blame him look at his team) but Kobe does it in the flow of the game . I think that Kobe is going to reach that amazing stats that MJ had I honestly think that people wont being saying "He is going to be the next Michael Jordan" but "He is going to be the next Kobe" .....

kobes a ballhogger, he takes a average of about 24 shots a game. he took 277 more shots than KG, and 270 more than TD and those two guys played 1 or 2 more games than him. thats just iverson like..he averages more turnovers than any of those guys, almost 4 a game. u knw what? he is 2nd in the league in to's, only Francis has more with 4. u also knw what? not even shaq has taken that many shots than him, shaq takes about 17.6 a game..and i thought shaq was suppose to me the lakers main guy..obviously the offense dont run through him no more because there isnt a triangle offense with kobe hogging the ball.

but u can't get down on kobe that much, because; he has to play like that especially since shaq is hurting, and also when he isn't playing...

he was mvp last year, and this year he has similar numbers except his points which has dropped about 1.8. hes improved on 3pts, rebounds, assist, blocks and turnovers. hes also rank 15 or higher in 30 catagories. he is 2nd on the nba efficientcy rating with 29.30. KG is first btw at 30.98.

You know that... how? Because of one All-Star Game, in which he got overly excited because he was playing in his home town and wanted to put on a show for the fans? What did I say? 4 or 5 forced shots. One defender in his face, the way Kobe's shooting now, is not a forced shot. As it were, 4 or 5 is a pretty high number, do you not agree?

Held the ball to the dying seconds of the shot clock? He gets the ball with 7 seconds on the clock. You'd rather have Fox or Horry take the shot with the clock winding down?

When Kobe goes one on one, and when he acts quickly, he's the most lethal player on the planet. The Triangle accomodates one-on-one skills of Kobe as it did MJ's.

And how do you know Utah is going to win? If there's nothing else you learned from watching basketball, it's that nothing is for certain.

The MVP is for the player who is most valuable to their team. Kobe's valuable to the team as a second option, and when Shaq is on the court Kobe is STILL the second option; you guys say that he's the franchise player on the Lakers? Perhaps in the future, but as of now the team is STILL built around Shaq. Because of the, Kobe is NOT the most important player on the team. The Lakers almost lost last night and probably would have had Yao Ming not fouled out in overtime. They're STILL out of the playoffs, and the reason they are is because Shaq was out. Kobe's doing a great job right now, willing the Lakers to win, but their schedule has been relatively weak against short handed or just plain bad teams. Last night was a quality win, but it was barely a win. You'll say they won by a 10 or whatever, but Ming was keeping the Rockets in that game, and once he was gone, it was over since Francis was playing horribly.

Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan are the true MVP's of the league; Shaq can drop 30 any given night and Kobe...well, you all know what he can do. Garnett and Duncan's second options are Szczerbiak and Tony Parker, respectively, and those two are lucky to get 20 on any given night. There's a huge difference between the Laker's talent and the TWolves and Spurs, no matter how badly the role players on the Lakers play, and that difference is Shaq. Also, if the Lakers barely make the playoffs, how can anyone from that team win the MVP? It's just...absurd. The TWolves and Spurs are a virtual lock, barring a serious injury to Garnett and Duncan, and they have been since the beginning of the season. The Lakers are playing catch up, and the Wolves and Spurs are almost a lock for the playoffs...do I need to say more?

Kobe's playing...inhumanly...right now, but he's not the MVP.

Wilt had 14 straight 40 or more point games. Kobe could break that theoretically. But Wilt did it twice in one season and had 63 40+ point games that year (45, 50+ if anyone cared, streaks of 7, 6, 5 and 5 straight). Wilt also racked up 65 straight games with 30+, missed a game, then rebounded with a streak of 31 more.

Maybe when Kobe gets close to most of that, you can start comparing those two...
