Vince Carter is having an amazing year, despite his slow start with the Raptors.. Jason Kidd is making him a lot better. This team is going to be insane next year with RJ back.

It's really just him actually deciding to play as opposed to Kidd making him better. He could've done this well last season too if the Raptors weren't an offensively challenged team, not just personal wise, but also with their system. Him and Kidd a great 1-2 combo though, he's a great scorer that can keep the pressure off Kidd, Kidd finds him in the right spots and gets him the ball, and Carter also has the ability to draw the defense and pass which get's Kidd a lot of open looks as seen by his improved 3PT%.
They'll definately be a scary team next year with the return of RJ.

Hopefully, Kidd will leave... Plus, it's too early to say if his career has really been revived. He could pull off the same thing he did in Toronto. Blow everyone's mind the first few seasons, and then slack off afterwards...

Well Leo thought it would be in 20 games, that didn't happen, then people said 40 games, and that didn't happen, so he could keep it up...also it was only this season he played bad on the court, last season he didn't get to the line, but you have to remember the Raptors offense was garbage.
Also we had some bad players, because of the zone, teams would do a "mini zone", where they had a player stand behind Vince's man so if he drove he would get stopped about 20 feet in. He had no room to penetrate, and it was actually a good season for the circumstances. I think the true test for him is in the off-season, he can't use the first 1-2 months of the season as his time to get in shape.

I read an article with Charles Oakley in it and he said it best when he said the reason why Vince is playing so well is because "Kidd would whoop his ass" and that he was the one who would "Whop his ass if he didn't play hard in Toronto."
Honestly, I think its not just Kidd, its himself. He was definitely holding back, and you can see when he played he just got the ball he didn't even think about drawing the foul and automatically fired a jumper. I don't hate Vince as a person, in fact, I went to his summercamp 3/4/5 years ago and he's one of the nicest guys I've seen. But I disliked the fact that he didn't give an effort. Those players always tick me off. If he didn't want to play, he should have just sit his ass down and given guys like Sow (who's going to be ROY!), Bosh and Bonner more developement and touches with the ball .

Yup, I'm happy the Raptors traded him because he wasn't helping the team, though I'm not happy at what we got in return.
I still like Vince as a player, as an NBA fan I just can't not like how he's playing. I don't respect what he did, but it's happened, and it's past. I just don't like how we have these bitter fans who try to make it seem like he's a bad person or something, when he's one of the nicest NBA players around.
