Jabar Rouzbahani (the ugly guy Mikki posted) could dunk without jumping. I remember watching a video clip of it, and reading an article where Drew Gooden said it was like looking at a real life giant. He then went on to say that the other players in the workout spent all of their time taking turns to dunk on him lol.

Give him a year with heavy weights and intense training, and he'll be pretty strong and flexible by then. I'm kind of curious about his court sense, shooting, rebounding, blocks, etc.

Yao has had 3 years on the NBA and he's weak as hell... I'm sure he has gotten stronger over the curse of his short career but he doesn't impress me at all with his power and/or game. I was expecting a lot more from him. He should have married a white or black girl - these women are known to get the most out of you --- aggresively lol

They should make a movie about Ming Ming.

maybe some team will draft him in 2nd round and train him a couple years then put him on the team. They say u cant teach height, so some team should get it while they can afford it (Pistons maybe hehe).

Yao is listed 7'6" and 310 lbs. This guy is almost 3 inches taller and 40 lbs heavier. Well Shaq hitted the 350 mark back then. So what's a good weight for a 7'8" guy? maybe 380 lbs?

he might have a decent weight.. but it mite be fat.. soo he can't lift crap..
they always hype him in articles.. saying he can shoot.. well ... seriously..


to me.. if you have size, you have dedication (like him), you have shooting touch(not ncessary)

you WILL BE dominate IF and only IF you are intense.. (common, i'm sure if you go after rebounds and after guys to block their shots.. u'll be crazy) and box out..

think kevin garnett.. then think kevin garnett's intensity on Yao Ming.. Can you imagine Yao Ming runnin full speed for block shots and getting every darn rebound.. he'll avg like ~18 rebounds ~5blocks

Sun Mingming, who is two inches taller than Yao, has attended a training camp in the United States and hopes to be picked in the NBA draft next month, the South China Morning Post reported Sunday.

If the 22-year-old Sun is signed by an NBA team, he would become the tallest player in league history.

Gheorghe Muresan and Manute Bol, at 7-foot-7, are the tallest players in NBA history.

Former NBA player Keith Gatlin, a coach who has worked with Sun, told the newspaper that the Chinese prospect is a 70 percent shooter but needs to work on his agility.

"He really doesn't get much lift and that's something we're looking at to improve," Gatlin said.

Still, Gatlin noted Sun's height means "he pretty much only needs to stand with his arms up in front of the net and he's blocking the basket."

I have a feeling this guy is gonna be on the wrong end of many posters.

I remember reading an article about Hakeem Olajuwon (it was either him or Mutombo, not sure) but when he first came to the US the coaches told him to just block every shot that went to the hoop. Even if it was goal tending, just swat it before it goes in.. I'm really not sure what they're going to achieve if they tell him he just has to stand there with his hands up.

The Lakers had Ming Ming in for a training session... they consider him a project...

Lol I think every man and his dog considers him a project. It's interesting that he'd be in there with the Lakers though, I wouldn't mind if they signed him as an undrafted rookie.

One other thing: Sun's growth plates still haven't closed.

One scout, who perhaps had seen too many small forwards, sized up Sun to Bonsignore by saying, "He's not really a long 7-8.'

Wtf, how are you not a long 7'8. The tallest man in the World is 7'8, does he want a walking skyscraper or something?

I read that Kupchak was considering using that second round pick on him... wat i mean by project is that he'd be a really long project! aAnd theyd only take him if the NBDL is set up as a minor league!

He'll break the record for having most posters, hmmmm... I don't think that at 7'8 he will be able to jump at all.... maybe they should just get him to workout his arms alot so that his arms would be like a wall. lol, if they can achieve that, he'll be the most effective paint defending using the least amount of effort.
