All-Fastbreak Starting 5

Postby The GOAT on Tue Mar 29, 2005 3:54 am

Who would you put on it? Mine would be:
PG - Iverson (fastest in the NBA, steals to create fastbreaks, good finisher)
SG - Iguodala (He and AI 1 have been tearin it up on fastbreaks lately)
SF - LeBron James (Most of his good dunks come on fast breaks he created with steals)
PF - KG (Good Rebounder and Shot Blocker to create fastbreaks, also not incredibly slow)
C - ?

PG - Jason Kidd, probably one of the most creative in the league on the break.
SG - Tracy McGrady..........
SF - Jason Richardson, you'd have to be pretty dumb not to know why I chose him.
PF - Chris Bosh, 6-10 and can run with the best of 'em.
C - I can't think of any other center other than Amare.

Andre Iguodala is also a good option. Iverson is fast, but I'd want a more willing and better passer running the break, and you can't put him at the 2 because he's not going to catch alley-oops.

A lot of people picked KG, but he's not a fast break kinda player. He doesn't run much. He's a post player.

KG can run, but he never gets the chance to because he is the only guy on the Timberwolves capable of rebounding. So he always starts the fastbreak. He can dominate the boards then make a great outlet pass. (Y)

KG used to always be the start and sometimes the end of Wolves' fast breaks... And no love for E-Boy???

Thats where you're wrong. KG is long and lanky, so he usually uses more finesse rather than strength to score on his opponents in the post. KG runs with the best of them, and can finish with the best of them.
