i don't know if you can point out one player as the most clutch shooter. jerry west was nicknamed mr clutch. larry legend was great in this aspect, as well as reggie and jordan
as far as best shooter i'm not sure you can call a journeyman player with a career 43 fg% & 40 3pt% who pretty much just hangs out in the perimeter to knock down a few the BEST SHOOTER EVER
maybe it's more accurate to say he's one of the best at hitting a wide open jumper

i agree that clutch shooting is huge but this only seperates him from the likes of fred and steve, when compared to larry he takes a back seat imo. i dont think anyone ever was more clutch than him.
I'd take Jordan before anyone when it comes to a gamewinning shot. Kobe is getting up there too in terms of clutch shots.
As for the article.. I havent read it, but you know that people are going overboard with stats when they come up with stupid statements like this. Any idiot can shoot open jumpers. But to be able to shoot with a defender (or 2, or 3) draped all over you and still knock it down, that requires more skill in shooting then just catch and shoot. Hoiberg, as much as i like the guy, is a bum. Chicago cut him when they were bad...

Matt Bonner will take that crown when he's career is over if their is such a crown, but he's a guy who you basically says it's in if he get's an open jumper, and I'm not overstating how good his jumpshot is either.

Agreed, Larry pulled out a win for the celtics almost everytime they had a chance to win a game. He'd either hit a big three, or make a great defensive stop.
or just a 3pt shooter.

Well anyway, whoever it is he's gotta be consistent....Miller for example has been hitting 3's for a very long time, not to mention his playoff resume...Hoiberg hasnt even been around long enough, or taken enough shots

Or actually been a focal point of the oppositions defense...

and that wins for best reason why hoiberg is not the best shooter ever. personally i would take someone like mullen way before him anyway. that guy was anal about perfecting his shot

Miller and Bird ...have ugly shooting styles....
but they always could get 'em in..

Peja's shot is also ugly, but he too can knock it down with consistancy.

i'll try to make my shot ugly this time.
