Yao Ming talks trash? That's what Tyson Chandler revealed Monday. "Last time, he told me he was going to make me swallow my mouthpiece," Chandler said. "He can speak English better than he lets on." Maybe it's just familiarity. Chandler has known Yao for eight years, having played against him when Yao traveled to California for a youth All-Star game. … Skiles bemoaned how poorly his team played against Houston on Feb. 9. Then he added a light-hearted comment. "We need a good game against them—in case we meet them in the [NBA] Finals."

Yao is one mean machine talking trash to everybody on court even if he wont open his mouth. God look at his size. Trying to shoot a jumper against him will be one bad trash in my opinion.

yea yao knows english.. before the season on nbatv he was interviewed and he was pretty fluent..

i saw this game once in TNT. Yao clearly was on his way for a lay up then he was block from behind by antione walker. alot of contact there and i can clearly hear Yao shouted "ah SHIT!!!" all because the Hawks arena was almost deserted(way too quiet) and the fans were not that much interested about their team.
and i was like "man yao says shit? i thought they have a chinese version of dookie or stuff like that?"

The Rockets need a PG... bring in Payton next season lol.
However, Yao has a good edge. When he doesnt wanna tlak he can shut his mouth and it looks normal... if he wanna talk trash.. he can scare all the smaller guys!

i would rather see yao talking trash instead of sitting quiet. more emotion the better imo. the more americanized he becomes the better his game will be.
