i agree. the warriors have no shot of making the playoffs this year, and they still need a good offseason moves to have a shot next year.

I don't see the Warriors really doing anything in the long run, unless they pick up a great rookie in the draft that's a PF and get a little more depth off the bench.

i think it'll be a temporary kinda dealio. troy murphy has to heal up before he can start again. and dunleavy has been doing well/good(help, i forgot which is used for which) enough and hasn't gotten completely exposed yet.

well, the trades mean more minutes for that latvian guy!

poor rodney white and skita. they're in a deep SF battle. i don want to see rodney white playing PF again. i want him to develop into a SF/SG(/PF) type of player and fulfill whats left of his "potential". hopefully skita will get minutes as a PF and not C (although its almost inevitable that he's going to play there, no matter how much he weighs) and eventually at SF.

i was playing with the warriors and they're fun again! davis going in for the dunks (amazingly i can't shoot 3s well enough with him.. 1/6 in the game and 3 of them were wide open) and jrich from outside and dunking (went 6-7 from beyond the arch). murphy played well for 18 points. dunleavy played PF only so pietrus to play.

overall had a fun time (before they had that stpid small player. speedy was too small for me to score with him :x )

the one thing you guys seem to be forgetting, is the Golden St. Warriors front office will NEVER allow their team to become good.

why?

because they have absolutely NO IDEA what they're doing. Mulllin may be new, but he seems to be following in the tradition of the past, just look at the wretched contracts they offered to Derek Fisher, Foyle, etc.

they have no chance of doing anything, anytime soon. Ownership is the problem.

And you can't rely on Baron Davis to make it through an 82 game season. He's dealt with injuries since high school, and that's not about to change anytime soon. Even with him, the West is FAR, FAR, FAR too tough for the Warriors.

Troy Murphy is average.
Foyle is garbage.
Dunleavy is still young, and COULD develop into a good player(although I see him as being the typical Dookie in the pros - average or bound to get into some sort of crash)
and Jason Richardson is one of the most overrated players in the league.

They would be solid if they didn't have to play defense. Their inside defense sucks. They could use a center. And Adonal Foyle doesn't count. And they don't really have any post scoring either. Add a Tim Duncan and they have a pretty good team. Well add Tim Duncan to the Hawks and they have a pretty good team. Well add someone to score in the post and guard the post. Maybe replace Troy Murphy, he's a great rebounder and has a good shot but doesn't doo much else. Mikael Pietrus is a good defender, but he's not going to get in the lineup as long as they are still in love with Mike Dunleavy and J-Rich averages 23, 6, and 4. So maybe they could trade Dunleavy, because they really need to get Pietrus in there. Baron Davis will be a great fit for them though. He's at home in Cali so he should be happy there and if he stays happy and healthy he's a great player. He should definitely energize the Warriors. But until they get some inside presence, they are an average team at best.

W vs. Sacramento 100-97
W vs. Phoenix 110-100

Hope fully, if the Warriors dont make any bad offseason moves they are going to be a very good team next year

EDIT:

J-Rich Fan, your current sig kicks ass. I cant remember your old one, but the J-Rich, Davis one is sweet.

i reckon the warriors should try get Bogut, or Taft. If bogut wont work in the team (defence probs) could they pick up a decent C or PF for him??

Thanks.

and I agree with Sit, as long as the Warriors keep playing Biedrins, he can hopefully develop into a decent center, and they could start him over Foyle.

As for the rest of the Warriors bench, they are getting much better, Baron Davis has brought this team alot of confidence, the Warriors now have some depth off the bench.

Yeah, hes not overrated at all. Everytime I talk to fans of different basketball teams, no one knows who Jason Richardson is, I could even say that J-Rich is underrated, his game is improving by every year.

Yeah, in a way he is underrated, people only think slam dunk champion when they think of J-Rich. They don't really think about a 22-6-3 star on the warriors.

He can't earn his paycheck even if he tried his hardest.... The only good thing about him is probably his blocking.... I don't get why Golden State would resign a 30 year old to that much money for such a long duration of time.... Way to screw your cap over Chris.....

Other sources have confiremed that their was no pick involved, Dale Davis and Claxton for Baron, wow.

They've had some nice wins lately, I think they're 7-5 with Baron in the lineup, so that's impressive.
