db commander 2000 delete players

hey, new here, have visited this site often but i've only created this account now. as you can tell my fav player is j will of the memphis grizz. anyway....

in db commander 2000, while editing the players file, there's a DELETED column that is either True/False. i tried deleting retired players (eg. Rick Fox), and changed that column from False to True. Still, Fox turns up in the free agent pool. any way to change this?
