Well the only thing is that Mobley was a good defender back in Houston, he has great length, and though he's only 6'4, plays at about 6'7, and he was Houston's best perimeter defender, and actually a good defender, so I don't know what's wrong there.

It's probably more because he shoots too much.

I think the Magic want to run the offense through Francis, Hill & Howard so Mobley had to go.

Sacramento has so much firepower right now its scary. Webber, Miller, Peja, Mobley, Bibby... all these guys can shoot, and there is some defense in there. They might have the best starting 5 in the nba right now.

there going to need all the fire power cause they cant play Defense.

It's easier to get a good defender than a good scorer. (N)

Even though the deal isn't really bad [short term], it seems like Orlando just didn't want to pay Mobley what he was asking for. Mobley is a good defender, he's definately above average.

Their could also be the fact that he took a fair amount of shots, and they want to involve Hill and Dwight in the offense more, but it's not the best trade on their part. At this stage with Christie at 35, he's not that much better a defender anymore [he's still better], he's a better passer and team player, but he's not the better player really, they're about equal.

yahoo sports says mobley's contract was the reason for the deal

good job by sacto. mom's should replace bjax's firepower and doug's defense just fine. the passing- don't know about that

i wonder if weisbrod & petri (sp?) had to get the ok from mrs christie before the completed the deal. i still can't believe a reality show is in the works for the christies

Sacramento can shoot all night long.

I guess it wasnt jameer leavin but Cat.. i hope to see Nelson at 1, Stevie at the 2, Hill at the 3, Dwight at 4 and Cato at the 5!

Wed Jan 12, 2005 12:02 pm

Steve's p.o.'d big time. I dunno if Steve's gonna pull a T-Mac or Vince because of that, but stay tuned...

Wed Jan 12, 2005 12:17 pm

I would be too... Cat is a great friend to him... those two are great players.... I mean, first he had to leave Yao who he was beoming good m,ates with and now Cat... But he needs to realise its business

he'll get over it... at least he still got hill and howard!

Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:18 pm

He apparently said he 'didn't know why he would get up in the morning' after this.

As much as I hate to say it, its true :x

Thu Jan 13, 2005 2:23 pm

They way better without C-Webb,but ok

Thu Jan 13, 2005 3:58 pm

Well if we're talking about in comparison to last season, they also lost Divac, but last season Webber did hurt them because he was just trying to play injured and was helping no one. He's basically on one leg right now.
