I've got 3 things to say...
1) It's half-time right now (MIN 43, PHI 37) and its been a slow game...
Garnett has no been shooting normally, just 3/12 FG... I like Eddie Griffin he's really versatile, shoots the 3, blocks and passes nicely... Wally is great, he's just great...
one fun thing is how much Marc Jackson yells when he's rebounding AHAHAH its so funny, even when he missed a FT he's like AAAAARRGHHHH AHAHA, its just hilarious...
2) Who decides who will shoot the FT when there is a technical foul???
3) The US Team issue came to my mind, don't know why... WHY DID SO MANY PALYER REFUSE TO GO TO ATHENS!!! For me, at least, it would be an honor to represent your country in ANY way!! How can anyone refuse an offer to play for your country's national team.... [sighs]

Is Iverson donating a hundred bucks for every FG he attempts?
People gonna get richier in a hurry down there in Asia tonight.

I'm guessing the coach decides whoever is the best free throw shooter. Probably not going by statistics here, I remember Fisher had a higher FT% compared to Bryant but you saw Bryant take the technical ft more often than Fisher. I think it's the coach who decides, not sure though.3) The US Team issue came to my mind, don't know why... WHY DID SO MANY PALYER REFUSE TO GO TO ATHENS!!! Many players stated security as a reason, they didn't feel safe enough. That could be a reason I suppose, if they feel afraid for their life, so be it.
Another possible reason could be because the games are during the only time NBA players have off. They are tired & bruised from the whole season, I think alot of them just want to relax a bit. Secondly it gives them time to work on the weaker spots of their game.
Lets not forget that these guys are constantly on the road, the summer is the only time they get to spend with their family, beside home games. So yeah, that could be a possible reason.
It's gotta be tough to play 82 games, play all summer long, come back with no break and play another 82 games, it's bound to get your mentally and physically drained.Tales wrote:Is Iverson donating a hundred bucks for every FG he attempts?
Iverson isn't playing tonight, he's out with an ankle injury.

Marc Jackson is always screaming. I remember once in a game, he got fouled and thought the refs were calling an offensive foul, and he started yelling "That's mine! That ball is mine!!!" and then he realized he was shooting FT's and suddenly became like the best friend with the refs.

Camby man, remember what I said about Corliss Williamson's scoring ability, who was the leading scorer today?
Man Philly needs to use the guy properly, he's seriously a scoring maching, they could trade him to Toronto, but Toronto needs defense, not scoring, and he's been here, done that. He didn't shoot great, but you post that guy up or Iso him, and tell him to score, and he'll put points up on the board.
Marc Jackson wasl iving at the line today, I didn't know AI was injured, I mean he always has the little injuries on his wrists, and sore muscles or whatever, but I didn't know he had an ankle sparin.
Philly tried, you could see they needed a distributor, I mean Kevin Ollie

, that guy is garbage, what was their assist total for the game? 14? Iverson should be back soon, if not they better sign an actual PG for a few games, bring out the old 10 days.

Yeah corliss was effective in that game, but remember how bad Minnesota was playing today. They look like they've lost their defensive confidence. If philly had iverson, this would have been a blowout. But Iverson does have some help, Williamson, Jackson, Thomas sometimes can score. I hope the sixers keep rolling.

Anybody knows how bad is Cassel's injury??
Go Sixers! 0.5 GB the Knicks!
Sun Jan 09, 2005 8:24 am
Bump...
Sun Jan 09, 2005 8:57 am
Cassell has a strained hamstring, he'll be sitting out tonight's game.
Why in heavens name are you bumping this Sir Jona?

Something with his thumb, I don´t know the status of the injury tho
Sun Jan 09, 2005 9:31 am
He broke his thumb (that's the last thing I heard)
I've heard rumors about either Kurt Thomas getting traded here (which, we all know and could happen anyways) or Wolves signing John Thomas who was on our summer league roster and pre-season roster.

Wizards just beating Minnesota = Lakers 6th place in playoffs ranking
Sun Jan 09, 2005 1:46 pm
Minnesota is playing like shit against Eastern teams

They should trade Spreewell. IMHO, he's the problem. He's not motivated at all. Maybe trade Spree with Hudson for some young players with a nice mid-range game...

If the playoffs started today the Lakers would be playing the Sonics...and the Clippers with the 8th seed would play against the Suns.
Sun Jan 09, 2005 2:44 pm
I've heard a ton of rumors
Cassell and Sprewell for Ricky Davis, Gary Payton, Michael Stewart and Tom Gugliotta
Cassell, Olowokandi and Sprewell for Bonzi Wells, Jason Williams and Lorenzen Wright
Cassell and Sprewell for Artest, Fred Jones, Croshere and Pollard
Wally for Kurt Thomas and someone else
Lot's of rumors, no answers.
Wolves would have beat Washington but Wally missed a game winning layup with like 18 seconds left. Then KG missed a game winning turn around.

in the playoffs if Lakers are matched up against Sonics or Suns i'll give them a chance to win.
Mon Jan 10, 2005 7:12 am
Against the suns, I don't know, maybe they'll lose 4-1 or 4-2, or even 4-3.
Mon Jan 10, 2005 8:53 am
Sonics would smite the Lakers, and so would the Suns, now someone like the Spurs, the Suns and Sonics would be beat.
Mon Jan 10, 2005 10:11 am
A team like the Suns could kill the Lakers. Amare could overpower Odom or Mihm. But I'd give the Lakers a chance against the Sonics, I don't know why
Mon Jan 10, 2005 11:34 am
A certain Kobe Bryant might be why?
Mon Jan 10, 2005 11:49 am
Haha oh yea that guy

NOOOO WAAAAAAAAAY!!
Sonics would pound the Lakers, Ray Allen always wins matchups against Kobe, plus Rashard would have Caron and Odom occupied while Evans and James rebound like crazy...
Mon Jan 10, 2005 1:27 pm
Hum, Kobe who?
