Why do they always have to be "1,000 per point" or "100 per sack" or "500 per 3pter" and cheap stuff like that? Why not just say "this year I'm going to donate my salary to charity for the tsunami." They need billions of dollars out there.
They need to feed their families. Just ask Spreewell.

Its not upto you to say what so and so should donate. It's upto everybody's conscience to make a donating, not the peer pressure of other people. You have no right to say "why arent they doing this or why arent they doing that"
Well sorry if it's my opinion that they should donate. Honestly, it's not something I actually feel strong about and will actually take outside this forum. I just believe that everyone who makes such generous amounts of money, should take a small bit of their earnings and give it to those less fortunate.

The big companys and rich rich ppl should start donating.. but i sorta dont like the fact thart those guys listed went public casue it sorta seems like a bit of a publicity stunt. Maybe they shjoulda privately donated money and then let the charities deliver the news!

But why is limited to just the players? why notcriticise david stern, the owners, the coaches, billy hunter, the commentators, the tv neworks, the sportswriters... the players arent the only ones who get rich off this game, despite the fact they probably work the hardest and have to put up with most B.S.
I have no problem with you having an opinion, however I think you have no right to say "so and so should be donating" or "why havent such and such donated?". It's upto the players if they donate, and thats it. I dont have a say it, nor do you, nor does Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson (the most influentional ex players right now).
Starting to make sense now?

Bill Gates could spot the relief effort and not feel a thing in his wallet

He donated $1 billion to his own charity, wonder if he can spare me $2 for a bus fare
Thu Jan 06, 2005 2:31 pm
That's good for them to do that. I know AI wasn't going to donate because he might have a streak of 3 50 point games again

I'm not forcing them! I'm not gonna do anything about it. I don't see the wrong in saying that anyone who makes such money should donate. I'm completely aware of the fact that it's up to them and they could probably care less what I think. I really don't see why this argument continues.

Then why say it? It's the equivilent of people selling religon to people and trying to demand to know what you believe. Somtimes its better to not say anything when it's none of your businees or if you dont know all the facts...

Becuase you and I continue to reply to each other's posts? lol..

John Howard the Australian PM donated 10 Million of his personal money to the aid effort and Australia has donated more then any other country !
I find that suprising for a country with barely over 20 million people.

How the hell did he have $10,000,000 of his own personal money? His wage is only around the $100,000 mark.
