I think the departure of Boozer hasn't really affected the Cavs much so far. Drew Gooden continues to develop as he posts "Boozer-like performances" lately.

yes he has and he really isnt a low post player like boozer so once he develops that game, Cavs will benefit more from him (Y)

Glad to see I hate Boozer

damn, didnt know boozer blocks shots like a bitch 0.31pg? haha

plus gooden is taller than him and a better free throw shooter

Boozer's more consistant.

Gooden seems to have periods where he'll go 30/12, then 8/5 then 25/10 and 4/2.

I like what Gooden is doing so far. With time he will develop more confidence over his game and surpass Boozer. I remenber Gooden in his first year he was playing great and everybody thought he was gonna be great well now hes playing with Lebron who will eventually become one of the best. I'm expecting Gooden to turn a notch up now that Lebron is partly injured with that elbow to the face by Mutombo in the last game.

Thanks.

I'm glad to see gooden play more under control unlike in orlando.. :)

Boozer is better than Gooden so far! :!: :?:
But yeah they both are playing well and gooden has much to improve.

I don't see why it's surprising, if anyone watched Gooden when he was a rookie in Orlando, you'd know he was capable. One of the things that hurt his production last season was the constant shuffling of position and the fact that he wasn't motivated at all.

Gooden is a guy that needs to be constantly pushed to have him do things right, and on the Magic the team just didn't give him that especially with how Tmac acted and how they played.

I expected 15-9 from Gooden going into the season, but he's averageing 14 and 10, so that's good too, and he's a better defender than Boozer, and has actually improved his defense a lot this season.

Boozer's a better offensive player though, but they're not that far off, depending on what your team needs.

Gooden has more potential i think

Boozer plays down low a lot, but he's hardly a low post offensive scorer. He has a small handful of simple post moves (notably a jump hook) and that's about it. Gooden is a more polished scorer on the block. Both have fairly good jumpers for big men.

Boozer however, brings more energy and offensive rebounding.

Boozer's more consistant.

Gooden has more potential i think

Both of these are on the spot.

I agree that CLE hasn't lost much, if anything, with the departure of Boozer and the replacement of Gooden...the one thing that I already mentioned though, that does not appear on the stat sheet is the hustle Boozer brings and the occasional slacking by Gooden.
