both being mention to bringing them to teams they were with a few years ago..celtics and mavericks..
Don't say you haven't been put on notice: Believe it or not, the Celtics — yes, Danny Ainge's Celtics — are going out of their way to renew acquaintances with jilted forward Antoine Walker, whose unsavory shot selection and tacky dance routine prompted his new boss to unload him two summers ago.

So much for the playoff worthiness of the franchise. Jim O'Brien bailed early in the season after pet Eric Williams and Tony Battie were dealt to Cleveland.

Now, according to a Boston buttinski, Ainge is determined to atone for his original sin. Walker, though leading the Hawks in scoring, is obtainable because Atlanta is going nowhere in hurry and he's not part of future plans.

On the final year of his contract, Walker pockets $14.625M and the Celtics must come up with a personnel package that's within 15 percent (plus 100G) of that, roughly $12M, as well as one No. 1 pick, maybe two. The Hawks' other demand is for players whose contracts also are expiring, guys like Tom Gugliotta ($2.7M). The best they can do so far is almost $9M.

It's unknown what Dallas was offering Toronto. What's known is the pointless Mavs have ardent interest in re-acquiring Nick Van Exel. Or any other up-tempo floor leader who might have an inkling how to distribute shots and get Erick Dampier involved in the offense, because, obviously, it's beyond Don Nelson to figure it out.

Who knows, probably something crazy like trading Vince Carter for some random New Jersey players and some useless draft picks.

Danny Ainge is a horrible GM. First, you trade an All-Star caliber player in Antoine Walker for a mediocre Raef LaFrentz and now a few years later, you want him back. What the hell is going on here?

Nice one.

Refuze what are you talking about? Getting rid of Walker was the best thing to do. He's a cancer, look at Atlanta this year they were playing better with a guy like Sura.

Well... look at Atlanta's roster. Michael Jordan in his prime couldn't make them a better team.
The team has always sucked in the past decade despite having some good talent.

Walker also wasn't ever in their plans, he was there just so they can get rid of some cap when his contract is finished.
