iverson erupts for 50 again!

Tue Dec 21, 2004 12:39 pm

jazz won, but the stat of the night:

allen iverson
51 pts, 6 boards, 7 steals

impressive; what was that about his scoring being luck?

I don't know, but Camby man get's surprised when Iverson scores 50 , just playing with you man, but you see what I'm saying, Iverson has what 2 now this season, and Lebron and Wade don't even have one yet.

It's lucky when Milt Palacio scores 50 points if that's even possible...

Tue Dec 21, 2004 12:48 pm

it still is, i mean if he can shoot with a pretty good percentage all the time then he would be great, but he can't. i want to see him shoot 45% or more for the rest of the season. he also had 7 turnovers

Don't get too greedy there man, just let it be what it is. I wanted Shaq to average 7 asssits once but it never happened.

i purposely undermined the 7 turnovers w/ 7 steals

 yea, i just would like for him to shoot a better percentage, and then i wouldnt consider him lucky. can he go for something better than what kobe did, which was score 40 pts in 11 straight games? (or however many games it was)

I would love that, too.

and then i wouldnt consider him lucky

You got a wierd way of judging luck :?

Probably not. How many players in the league could?

Anyway, anybody saw the game? Why so many T's in the 2nd quarter?

Weird shooting: Korver shot 0-2 FG's and 5-7 from 3-pt :?

Tue Dec 21, 2004 2:26 pm

the sad part is that he didn't even get to take the last shot of the game for the sixers

Tue Dec 21, 2004 3:30 pm

I agree with Mafia, he shoots a low percentage compared to some others. It could be and should be better...then he would be scoring 61 points instead! :)

Sixers inbound to Iverson, Iverson passes to Marc Jackson after about 1 second and they call a three in the key. The problem is that you don't start counting three in the key till a player on the court has touched the ball, so their couldn't have been three in the key while the ball was inbounded, and only one second passed after.

O'Brien got real mad and was just going off on the ref = T, I forgot what happened on the other ones.

its awesome when players get 50. but its not as great when you lose on a bad call by the refs

 Yeah I'm suprised he got back to back fifty games. He's playing unbelievably well right now.

Tue Dec 21, 2004 5:26 pm

damn near amazing!!! let's hope for another 50 point performance next game. He's on a roll now! This puts him back on the map....he kind of fell of with the publicity, it was all Kobe, T-Mac and Lebron....now T-Mac has vanished!

i always get chills when iverson scores 50 + or more. i mean the guys that get 50+ now a days are 6'6 + but the guy is only 6'0.. i think he'll go down as one of the best small men to ever play the game

Basically, he already has, they're just waiting for him to retire
