Jason Kidd's #1 Trade Preference?

Postby John-John Joe on Sun Dec 19, 2004 6:56 am

According to Screamin' A. Smith and Chad Ford of Image no one in the league wants to play with Osama Bean Bryant.

A source says the Lakers are Kidd's No. 1 preference, but to date they have shown no interest, worried by his health, age (32) and contract ($90 million over five seasons through 2007-08.)

Exactly, that is the point of this thread, but some people seem to be deaf when they hear different from what they think...

So, in brief, last week this forum has been crowded with posts about Kobe being anything an evil mind can think of. Many people stated that Kobe is ruining the entire lakers organization since no good player in the league wants to play with him anymore.

Now we have the best PG in the league, friend of Shaq and almost a brother to Payton, asking to be traded to play with Kobe. :applaud:

Now, this prove that Kobe's saga has been exagerated by "BSPN", and many people in this forum bought into it without showing ans sign of a critical mind.

BSPN is poisoning you people, Beware of the evil media!!! :D

I'm a Laker and a Kobe fan, Osama Bean Bryant is my personal nickname for #8 who is probably the most hated athlete in America.

Now on to Kidd, I don't want him. I'm a Kidd fan but acquiring a 32 year old player, with injury issues and who'll put us in salary cap hell is NOT the way to go.

We're a young rebuilding team, let's not panic and make a move we'll grow to regret. Think about it, didn't we get rid of Shaq because of monetary issues and length of contract? Then why in the world would we get Jason?

I dont think the lakers should pull this deal off, i think if they ride out this season with the squad they have right now and try to grab a point guard in the draft or in free agency they will be much better off. BTW for all negative comments i have about kobe they are only off court issues. The numbers he has put up lately are unbelivably gaudy. with 4 triple doubles he leads the league in that category! If only kobe would shut up and let his game do the talking

Very True Kidd is injury prone i just think it would be possible this trade could happen 1 cause i dont think kidd will play before his contract is up he will retire in 3-4 yrs not any longer hes no GP or Stockton and Kobe doesnt want to share the ball with anyone else. Kidd doesnt score much he rebounds(if i can really say that about a PG  ) and dishes the ball he would make kobe's life alot easier not any tougher
