I need to know the name of the song(actually it isnt a song, its more like a theme) that plays all the time in all NBA Arenas. Sometimes it plays in Baseball arenas too... hmm doesnt sound very familiar? How about if i told you that it was heard alot when u used to play "Lakers vs Celtics" (very old pc bball game). Plz help, i need to know this ASAP

Hmmm, the only one I can think of is: We will, We will, Rock YOU! *clap* BOOM, BOOM, *clap*....

Fri Dec 10, 2004 9:54 pm

Are you referring to "Rock and Roll, Part 2"? It often plays during timeouts or when the home team has basically sealed up the victory. It has no lyrics per se, but every so often a voice will call out "Hey!".

Well some ppl at work asked me if i could find it before friday afternoon, we're having a christmas party on wednesday and they wanted that tune for a comedic bball scene... So since i couldnt find it i pulled out my yamaha ctl-650 (very old midi keyboard) and wrote it into cubase.

For anyone with musical knowledge(tales?) it starts the first notes are A , E, F, G# <---(2wice), ---> change to B,E,F,G# again twice. etc etc. i made a little crowd effect on cubase too, made it sound pretty good :)
Thanx all for helping :)

P.S. (i won the pool that we had set for the one that was to find the tune first, 200 euros  )

no, it's not  i don't even know if it has a name- but the song he's talking about is the one you hear especially at baseball games alot, it's an organ, and then- the folks yell CHARGE!. but he already figured it out on his keyboard and he's got it (i know this is the song that he's looking for because the notes he quoted are correct )

I didn't see that post. I thought he wanted the song without "charge."

Sun Dec 12, 2004 7:30 am

np- i wasn't arguing, just conversating :D

Sun Dec 12, 2004 9:33 am

I think it's just called charge. If it's what I'm thinkin of then it only lasts for about 30 secs.

Sun Dec 12, 2004 9:50 pm

My mistake. I don't believe it has a name other than "Charge". I'm pretty sure it isn't just played at NBA games (or any major organised basketball games for that matter), other sports make use of it as well.

Btw Jimi Hendrix.
The real jimi Hendrix never played a Gibson les paul, he played a right handed fender stratocaster upside down (Y).

It's good to have ppl around that know abt music

Jowe good point(dont worry i know what guitar Jimi played), just that the Gibson Les Paul in my avatar is the guitar i play. Now if you're thinking : "why would he put Jimi's name over his guitar, when Jimi never played on that guitar?" my answer is : Can you imagine the music that would come out if you combined Jimi Hendrix's technique with the heart aching sound of a Gibson Les Paul?
