We hear people cursing all the time, I think this is just Stern and Stu Jackson nit-picking.

I was actually going to post about this. When they played at the Clippers a few days back or so, near the end of the game I CLEARLY heard him say "suck my dick". I was going to make a post to see if anyone else watching the game heard this. Then a little later he was at the free throw line saying something along the lines of "mother f***** suck my dick" blah blah blah, it WAS pretty clear after all... I was wondering if the commentators or someone would have commented on it, especially since the camera was even focusing on him as he said them.

Sprewell is a headcase. He acted like an asshole when he returned to play at MSG too.

Who cares? We all swear...This is just a reaction from the pacers/pistons fans fight. I wonder if lebron did this though, would he get the same punishment?

I was watching Wolves/Mavs...KG swore every other minute. One time you could clearly see after an and one play KG looked at josh howard and said "AND ONE MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!"
He does this alot, I think it's just Sprewell was directing it at a fan and it was a SEXUAL comment.

Guys let's put this in perspective here, this is not an isolated incident on the part of Sprewell whatsoever. He's shown and proved that despite his obvious intelligence and intensity on the floor, he has a knack for saying and doing the wrong things.
Those comments were directed towards a female fan which is inexcusable, in light of the recent events you'd think he'd more cognizant of what is appropriate behavior when dealing with the fans.
Poor Spree, now his family will be starving for a day!

hmm... I think that even if the Pacers/Pistons thing didn't happen, the league would've still suspended Spree, because it was a sexual comment directed at a fan. Maybe even if he said that to a male fan, he would've still been suspended.
and... in the case of KG, you can't blame him, cos he left after high school so you can't expect him to know that many words to express himself

I thought I heard the fan said something to him about "Your family could eat my..." then he said "suck my dick bitch".
it isn't anything new. Earlier this year at Target Center a fan said something about feeding his family and Sprewell told him "fuck you".

The same could be said about Charles Barkley though, he didn't always shy away from profanity when a situation arose that frustrated him. I remember one game where he was called for a foul; the camera caught him clearly yelling "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" before looking directly into the camera and screaming "This is bullshit!". He wasn't even whistled for a technical.
I do agree that Spree's reputation has a lot to do with the ruling and perhaps there's some justification in that, but the NBA still has a few too many double standards when handing down punishments.

Yes, Spree doesn't have the best reputation in the league, I remember back when he was with Golden State, he bet up the coach and got suspended for the rest of the season.
btw, I just noticed that our forum has a little icon thing to replace the Internet Explorer icon in my Favourites

I don't know...I mean, $14,000,000 just might not be enough for that lasagna.
Poor guy...I should give him some money.
