yep, he was and still is smooth as hell.. all the points he gets is pretty much in the flow of the offense, rarely do you see him force up shots or what not

I'm astounded that I haven't jinxed him yet. It's great to see him keep up this level of play through the first couple of weeks of the season. I wonder if T-Mac is sorry he demanded a trade? So far, he hasn't really been able to do his thing or win a great deal in Houston.

Before we all get too excited...
Grant Hill, games played || games started over the last 3 seasons...
2001-2002: 14 || 14
2002-2003: 29 || 29
2004-2005: 7 || 7
So basically this season he's lasted 7 games, but he still has a fair few to go before he finally reaches the 29 games which was the most in the last 4 years. Essentially, Andrew could still jinx him.
Points per game...
2001-2002: 16.8
2002-2003: 14.5
2004-2005: 18.9
Scoring wise, he's playing great thus far... and in pretty much every other aspect actually. The only department he's down on is rebounding, but with Dwight Howard hanging around under the hoop I think that's understandable.
Minutes per game...
2001-2002: 36.6 (lasted 14 games)
2002-2003: 29.1 (lasted 29 games)
2004-2005: 34.3 (lasted 7 games so far)
It seems the less minutes he's played, the longer he's lasted throughout the season. A few people have said they think he's playing a bit too often, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things progress. Hopefully he'll stay fit and play 60-70+ games this season.

Perhaps if I keep mentioning his foot and how it could give out at any time, he'll stay healthy. So watch out, his foot could give out at any time.
Good point about the minutes, but in 2002/2003 he was also sitting out games and playing only 10 minutes due to soreness, something which doesn't seem to be happening so far this season; a good sign early on. Again, I know it's too late now, but perhaps sitting out the 2000/2001 season (or at least most of it) would have been a wise decision.

it's worth getting excited.
hill is able to play big minutes on back to back games and is painfree, both he could not do during his other comebacks
and for bonus, he made the much revered AK47 look stupid... as if he was trying to pick for cherries last nite

If Grant can repeat what he did last night, 32, 5 and 5 i can say:
GRANT IS BACK!

No argument here, it's great to see him healthy and playing well, better than I would have expected. We probably shouldn't get ahead of ourselves, but if he can keep playing well and stick around a little longer, his career will make for a remarkable story when it's all said and done.

even if his ankle goes out on him tomorrow, you have to give him credit.. he's worked his ass off for the last couple seasons and to come back and average 20 points per game in the NBA.. that's just remarkable

Grant Hill named Eastern Conference NBA Player Of The Week
Hill led the Magic to a perfect 2-0 week averaging 30.0 points (2nd in the NBA) on .676 shooting, 6.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists in wins over Utah and Indiana. Currently, Hill leads the Magic in scoring and is second in assists, steals and minutes played, averaging 41 mpg.

Yeah he deserves it.
That's the kind of player Artest and others should take example on.

It's been a long time since the name Grant Hill and the words "Player of the Week" have been mentioned in the same sentence. Nice to see his comeback get some recognition.

i had to admit that i expected this 'comeback' to be just like the one last year...and the year before....but i'm SOOO glad that i was wrong. i'm extremely happy for grant, and the magic. makes you wonder if maybe grant didn't like t-mac?
