Well, actually, I was going to work on players whose faces haven't been updated in a while (Kendall Gill, Larry Nance, Mutombo, Horry, etc.). The faces of those you listed look pretty good, I don't even know if I can improve them. We'll see.

I think If I add his signature hairstyle, he'd look a little better. This cyberface is based on an old photo of his younger years, which was of poor quality.

Just a few screenshots of my workflow on Kevin Johnson's head model, so you can see how I work. It's really important to me to be happy with the result, so sculpting usually takes a long time. It was very tiring and painful for my back and shoulder, so I decided to stop here, even though the likeness isn't perfect yet. Plus, there's still a lot of work ahead: wrapping, fitting, texturing... I hope the result will be worth it
