thanks

yeah i edited it- that is how i will be posting my "big news" stories, instead of using what has become the 'norm', the magazine (which i'm a big fan of- don't think i'm dissing it)

new game vs. wizards is up....
injury update:
alonzo mourning sat out the game vs. the wizards (on the IR), and will miss the upcoming game vs the 76ers, as well, due to complications from his kidney disorder.

My dynasty will be run mainly off of just these few posts, I will update the pics with fresh copies as soon as they are available. So check back often, because I may play more than one game per day. You never know. TO FURTHER EXPLAIN THAT---ONCE I PLAY A NEW GAME, THE PREVIOUS GAME WILL BE GONE FOREVER, SO CHECK BACK OFTEN:wink:
C: Alonzo Mourning
PF: Richard Jefferson
SF: Eric Williams
SG: Joshua Carr (DonatelloForPres)
PG: Jason Kidd
I don't like that because if I don't check in for a few days, or if I go on vaction or someting I won't be able to catch up.

well i suppose i could start an archive of my boxscores. i've already deleted the old ones, but i'll start that right now.

There ya go. I'll label all the boxscores "Game 3", "Game 4", etc from now on, so that you can catch up if you miss anything

Thanks for the input/idea. That link will also be up in my main post now.

Copied from the "Calendar/Roster Info" Section above....
Well, Nets fans, in what the Nets GM has assured us will be the last major trade of the year, New Jersey has addressed the need for size with the uncertainty of Mourining's health, as well as Eric Williams's trade demand in one swift move. The Nets have traded Center Jason Collins and SF Eric Williams to the rival Indiana Pacers for Center Scot Pollard and little-used SF James Jones. The team has also signed Center DJ Mbenga to back up Pollard temporarily.
My explanation: Eric Williams was not happy with his playing time since the emergence of Nikoloz ("Skita"), and had demanded a trade, Jason Collins, while a very respectable gentleman, just wasn't filling the need at center, and I believe that with his great block and rebound ratings, that Scot Pollard can carry this team at Center until the return of Alonzo Mourning.

In addition, I have quite a bit of free time tonight and tomorrow night, so I'm going to play several games. I won't be doing a recap on all of them since it's really pointless to do all the pics if I'm just going to replace them in 30 minutes. I will however post all the boxscores in the boxscore archive.

I've been playing games with 10 min quarters and adjusted sliders, and I'm liking the results. So whenver I have the time, I'll be playing 10 min quarters. But if I'm in a hurry, I'll stick to 6 min (with adjusted sliders, of course).
Tue Nov 09, 2004 11:30 am
new game vs. nuggets is up, i went back to 6 minute quarters for this one- my bastard created player played 2 minutes in the game and got injured AGAIN. yay. I'm thinking about close to the deadline, trading zo away to get cap relief. We aren't going to just sit around and wait for him to get healthy, and as soon as he is, shake up our lineup to fit him in. We'll try to work something out that is beneficial to both parties.
Tue Nov 09, 2004 11:49 am
Are ya still goin' for Pollard like we talked about on AOL?
Or have you dropped that idea?
Dynasty still looks good, 8 - 6 isnt bad, I like dynasties with some losses, hate those who never lose a game and dominate with a Superstart team
Keep it up

and lets hope for your created player to have a quick recovery

I've started work on my website, it's pretty much just the basic design for now, I am very much still working on it, I hope for it to be a great dynasty page, and much easier to follow than this messy forum post lol...i'll still post on here though, too...don't worry.

I hate to bump my own post, but I must please ask everyone to take a look at my site- It's all up and operational now. I will be updating this post still with the newest game, whenever I slow down enough to post just one game, but I am very proud of this site (every link at the top works, check out every page), so I would very much appreciate any comments.
and, yes, it will be more graphic as time goes on.

Rookie/Sophomore game coverage is up on my website!!
main page:
http://free.hostultra.com/~donatelloforpres/nets.htm
go straight to the rookie/sophomore game page:
http://free.hostultra.com/~donatelloforpres/rookiegame.htm
If for whatever reason you don't want to go to my page (screw you too!

), I have to at least share this pic. Dwayne Wade dunking over Emeka, Dwight Howard, AND Josh Childress.
That screenshot is just SICK.
Please leave comments here as to how the page is looking, any suggestions would be appreciated. The site is far from "finished", it's pretty basic at the moment. I am restructuring my forum thread to just include links to the right section of my website- example: instead of posting the standings on the forum, I will just provide a link to the standings page.
The newest game recap will still be posted here, though.[/img]

Yeah, that's a nice shot.

Nice site you have going, with links to other dynasties.
But Zo for Hunter? That's even sicker than the screen.

A deal for Okafor would have been good, but I doubt you could get him. Nice backcourt, but you need a big man though.
Wed Nov 10, 2004 11:18 am
I like this a lot man..good job Donatell0
Wed Nov 10, 2004 11:38 am
...... yeah that is a SICK dunk
Wed Nov 10, 2004 2:44 pm
The Dunk Contest results have been posted (
http://free.hostultra.com/~donatelloforpres/allstar.htm)
The coverage is
COMPLETE, and isn't too bad of a 56-k killer, even if it is, it's worth checking out.
Slam Dunk Contest Settings:
1 round
1 dunk per round
1 replacement dunk
All players CPU controlled (so, no I wasn't responsible for R-Jefferson's horrible performance

)
....congratulations to the 2004-2005 Dunk Contest champion....Ben Gordon from the Chicago Bulls! Nobody much expected him to be IN this contest, let alone win it. He defeated Kevin Garnett in a tiebreaker (KG missed his dunk).
Thanks to everyone who has commented, keep 'em comin. I'm trying to make this the most in-depth dynasty site around. Not to put anyone else down, I just want to put out a quality product.

I'm taking a bit of pride in being the first live 2005 dynasty ever to have coverage of allstar events.
Wed Nov 10, 2004 2:49 pm
Nice Update, I didn't even know Ben Gordon had ups like that. I like your site.
Wed Nov 10, 2004 4:48 pm
I didn't have anyone invited to the 3 point shootout....so I went ahead and exited out of my dynasty, and ran a 3 point shootout anyway.
I haven't added it to my website yet, but you can see the photo gallery if you're interested (
http://photobucket.com/albums/v473/joshuamc17/20043pt/). I'll probably get it all put up on the website tomorrow night...maybe tonight if I don't get too tired, but don't count on it
Congrats to Allan Houston, winner of the 2004-2005 3-point shootout!
Next up (After I get the 3pt shootout up on the site), my own addition to the All-Star weekend...the 1-on-1 All Star Championship....featuring the winner of the Dunk Contest (Ben Gordon) versus the winner of the 3-Point Shootout (Allan Houston) in a 1-on-1 contest that is sure to become a fan favorite at the All-Star weekend....stay tuned (and keep those comments rollin'
).....
Wed Nov 10, 2004 9:55 pm
nice updates man..I like them a lot..keep it up!
Thu Nov 11, 2004 6:28 am
thanks for the comments guys

, and I want to stress that all the players in the dunk contest were cpu controlled, so i'm not responsible for that travesty of a score that huskies quoted up there

Also, I just put up a hit counter on my website (link in sig) this morning about an hour ago, and there are already over 50 hits...thanks for checking it out guys.
the update on the website for the 3-pt shootout will come tonight, also the NBA All-Star Game, and last but not least all THREE rounds of the Cingular All-Star 1-on-1 Challenge (which is not a real event, I created it--note to clarify- the cingular thing was just some cell phone contest they had, i 'borrowed' and manipulated their logo).
Round One:
Slam Dunk champ BEN GORDON
vs
3-Point Shootout champ ALLAN HOUSTON
Round Two:
Rookie/Sophomore game MVP JOSHUA CARR
vs
NBA All-Star game MVP ????
Round Three:
Winner of round one
vs
Winner of round two

Love the Cingular 1-on-1 idea
Keep it up

Round One of the
Cingular Wireless 1-on-1 Challenge has just ended!
Ben Gordon defeated
Allan Houston in a war of a 1-on-1 match.
The full news update is on the official
Nets Dynasty Website, and you can view the screenshot gallery
HERE.
Next up: The
NBA All-Star Game from
DENVER, COLORADO!

Total (and I mean TOTAL) coverage of the 2004-2005 NBA All-Star game is up on my dynasty site now. All images are thumnailed so you 56k people need not be afraid. I am doing my best to make this a great dynasty with great coverage, I took over 70 screenshots from the All-Star game alone, and about 50 of them are available in a gallery (link on the site).
Again, comments are appreciated, as I really am working my butt off on this
Up next: The final 2 rounds of the Cingular 1-on-1 Challenge. Ben Gordon defeated Allan Houston in round one, and will face the winner of round 2...which should be quite an interesting match, as it pits the 5'10" rookie Joshua Carr (MVP of the Rookie/Sophomore game) against Shaquille O'Neal (MVP of the NBA All Star Game). We'll be there courtside. Stay tuned.
