Mods Causing Games To Crash After Latest Game Update

This is probably a question that I think I know the answer to but did the update from a week ago mess with the mods that have been coming out in the past week causing my games to crash or is there just certain ones in particular that I should know about. Like I said its probably a dumb question but I am new to modding any game so I just wanted to know for clarification.

Are you using Vetmin's 'NBA 2K25 Remove Remaining Indicators Mod V2' that gets rid of alley-oop meter icons etc? For me, that’s been the only mod causing crashes after the update. Once I took out 'gamedata.iff' from the mods folder my 2K25 ran smooth again. I also took out any lighting mods for now—those were causing some weird black lighting issues idk
