This is basically because I feel the need to comment on individual games sometimes, so instead of creating a new thread for each game I'll just do my bitching/celebrating in here. Others are welcome to do the same... or whatever...
Anyways, vs Atlanta things are going well... it's 89-72 with roughly 10 mins left in the 4th. Chris Mihm is dominating, 19pts, 10rbs, 5blks... he scored 12 points in the 3rd quarter, which is a season high for him... along with the 5 blocks, also a season high.
Caron Butler's got 20 points, things are looking good (in this game anyways) as far as depth goes because Jones and Tierre Brown have come off the bench and done well, also Vujacic should hopefully get some garbage time... he's only played once, and did pretty well from what I could tell.

i'm glad caron butler's got his game back.. he hit the sophomore slump throughout most of last season but towards the end he got on a groove. in his rookie year he was praised as a good defender.. hopefully he'll develop more this year with kobe and the others.. they sure need a couple good defenders

How come they never let Sasha play? I thought they liked him..
Mon Nov 08, 2004 3:19 pm
Poor Sasha

he got some garbage time today but it wasn't much. A few things have come to my attention:
Tierre Brown is better than Chucky Atkins
Chris Mihm is only good playing at home
Jumaine Jones is a useful bench player
Kobe Bryant kicks ass
That will be all
Mon Nov 08, 2004 6:43 pm
didnt able to watch this game coz its not televised in here. but i know lakers will win this game.
Tierre Brown is better than Chucky Atkins
honestly from the off-season i never like brown. i rather see bobbits on lakers roster than brown. but when i saw him play on season opener well he change my mind. and now i could say i rather see brown starting than atkins
Chris Mihm is only good playing at home
dont know about this but maybe its about the opponent, against jazz you have booz, memo and kirilenko and against spurs against TD and rasho. and also he all know that if there 1 attribute Mihm should improve, is his consistency.
Jumaine Jones is a useful bench player
another suprise. he just a replacement from a trade kupchak screw. but in return he screw Ainge. you get mihm and jones for gp and both are big factorl in lakers rotations.
Kobe Bryant kicks ass
he is and he will....
Mon Nov 08, 2004 7:03 pm
Its a win so Im happy. Finally players other then Kobe were making their shots like Caron Butler, Chris Mihm and the benchplayers. It might be the Atlanta Hawks they played against, but its a win. I still think this Lakers team will be better once Divac and Slava are healthy
Mon Nov 08, 2004 7:44 pm
good win....however it was against Atlanta who already have decided to tank the season....maybe Harrington will "lead" this team somewhere

To the #1 Draft Pick
So true!
And its good that we got the W... would have been embarrasing losing to the Hawks!
Kobe got support and we won so its all good. I cant wait till Rockets vs. Lakers.

- I wonder if Mitch Kupchak traded so that he could have guys complimenting Kobe and not be stars at the same time. If so he has done well

i keep reading people say, players besides kobe needs to make a shot. this dont sound right as kobe also is not hitting his shot. what he is doing great is getting to the line and earning his points there. thats the big thing he is doing so far. before this game kobe was shooting like crap, did well vs the hawks though.

I think Bobcats will have a better record than Atlanta, after all, they did beat Orlando, a team that is expected to get deep into the playoffs.
If only they picked a better team name...
Tue Nov 09, 2004 3:03 pm
Charlotte Chazwazza's
Tue Nov 09, 2004 7:07 pm
wat is a chazzwazza?
Wed Nov 10, 2004 5:03 pm
It's from The Simpsons.
Decent win today against Char... er... New Orleans. Chris Mihm followed up his 19/10 performance with 6/8

... Caron Butler is quickly becoming the best part of the Shaq trade, with Lamar Odom playing well but no where near as good as his former Miami teammate. Kobe Bryant had another productive game but screwed up a bit shooting under 50% and also making 7 turnovers. Chucky Atkins had 18/6 but still sucks. For the Bobc... Hornets... Baron Davis shot an Iversonian 25%, no one else besides Jamaal Magloire really did anything. Jumaine Jones was good once again off the bench, and the Lakers are kicking ass

sort of.
Wed Nov 10, 2004 5:08 pm
sucks to be the Hornets
Chazwazza's could work well for Charlotte...gives them some clout
Wed Nov 10, 2004 5:53 pm
shoulda been charlotte dragons. still sucks, but better than bobcats and flight.
jae.....i wouldn't have guessed you to be a lakers fan *vomits*

Lol...I vomit about the idea of being a fan of a other team then the Lakers.
Finally they have won a away game, but they still have many to go. I didnt get to see the game but I will do that soon. How the hell can they allow the Hornets to score 40+ points in the final quarter. Better yet, how can the Hornets lose after scoring 40+ points in the final quarter.
3-2 right now so Im happy
, next up Houston. Next up Memphis who have yet to win a game. I dont think the Lakers will give them one

yes i was able to watch it in my room coz in our sala they watch all telenovelas. as you can see i posted my comments just around noon never thought it will be televised in RPN-9 that night, glad i was scrolling the channels and saw it.
by the way tomorrow the Lakers-Grizzlies will be televise in RPN-9.
about the game, again i just read it in nba.com, they have what 31 or 32 points lead at the 4th but hornents rallied and was able to make it a single digit deficits.... thank GOd our lead was that big if its only about 20 then maybe the hornets could steal that one for us. this also happen against denver where they chopped the lead to about 8 point late in 4th.
again lakers need to play good basketball for 48 minutes. yeah atkins still s*ck but nice game. hope he can contribute more maybe coming from the bench with brown starting hehehe.

butler is really showing his stuff out in LA right now and it was a damn good idea starting him. seems odom is having troubles at the 4 so far but we will see if he gets better. as for kobe, not a good shooting night but not a bad one either. 2 shots under 50% is liveable and wont really hurt you as a team, what will is 7 turnovers. he got to the line again and at this rate could lead the league in FTA and FTM which will definetly help the lakers, since he is shooting them well. i gotta admit i dont like the fack that neither rush nor walton are getting any minutes. i almost hope they can find thier way out of La and onto a team that will put them to use. not so much cause i think they are amazing, cause i dont, i will call them good role players. the reason i wanna see them somewhere else is i like them and hate to see them rot on a bench.
as for the hornets, well what can i say, they sucked. someone tell davis to pass the ball when you got such a good defender guarding you and your shot is off.
Thu Nov 11, 2004 10:50 am
All I have to say I all the people who said Kobe would be nothing without Shaq need so shut the fuck up because Kobe is dominating the leauge rightnow. He has scored more than 25 points each game(not to mention the 30+ point games). This Lakers team is going to make waves in the west and it will be because of Kobe. The team is deeper than in the past and that helps.
Thu Nov 11, 2004 12:10 pm
Not going so well for the Lakers tonight. Chris Mihm is playing well but otherwise they're all pretty useless, and getting hammered by Memphis. As far as Kobe goes, he's playing well but his shooting percentage keeps him below players like KG and my new bandwagon Kirilenko.
Thu Nov 11, 2004 12:23 pm
I knew the Grizzlies were going to come into the game ready to win. I even guarenteed the win to kobemvp

Hopefully we won't give up the lead though.
Thu Nov 11, 2004 12:34 pm
Can someone tell Pau Gasol this isn't the Olympics, he can go back to being a slightly above average player now.
disclaimer: i actually really like pau gasol
Thu Nov 11, 2004 1:19 pm
What the fuck is going on

Last time I checked Kobe was shooting 4-19, Caron Butler was 3-11... this is pathetic.
