Nba 2K11-help

Hello. Found an NBA 2K11 game in the collection. I mostly mastered the technique of shots. However, my problem is defense and block. How to block so as not to foul? How to pick up the ball so as not to foul? Is there any tutorial for this game. The language barrier to understand the game remains a problem. I play on the pro level because rookie is then boring and too easy. Is there any experienced player to help me?

Timing is everything with blocks and steals. The best time to attempt a steal is when a player isn't protecting the ball, and it's leaving their hands. Spamming the steal button and being aggressive is more likely to cause fouls. With blocks, you want to go straight up as often as possible. Again, if you're too aggressive and go jumping into players, you're going to foul them more often than not.
