Haha, that's clever! Can you think of any mechanic you could leverage to make it recognize a guy's skin tone and use an appropriate skin-color "jersey"? (I haven't downloaded yet so maybe it already does this...)

no it will not automatically recognize skin tone

what about downscaling the jersey 3D model ? 
it will be invisible (hidden inside the player) so it will use the right chest skin tone.

I have a version of the mod that does that also.
I'm not releasing that version, it has issues that I don't like.
