Think ears should be moved outwards from the back as well. Maybe they are not sticking out far enough. A wider hairshape would also make his head seem wider as the dude got a crazy wide head lol anyways great work, definitely getting closer!

Cade Cunningham Update 7

Is this too light? I'm guessing it is

I think if I widen the hair it might seem unnatural. I agree with the ears tho I'll fix em quick

Definitely not too bright, but maybe a bit too yellowish?
as for the hair, i might suggest trying to transfer the hairstyle from my model? see how it looks like. I think i got the hairshape accurate...

You are going on the right direction with this one. I'll list some suggestions you could implement:

1. The skin needs to be just a little bit lighter.

2. The face structures need to be a tad smaller (just a little more). The picture you used was shot on very short focal lenght so the face features look huge compared with the actual head.

But if you look at any other shot of him, you'll see he has a way more squared face.

Again, see how the skin tone is also lighter.

3. Finally, as PPP suggested, you need to use a completly different hair model. His afro is more prominent on the sides and falls back rather than the top fro you have him rocking now. The side view is also important, as he has a little of an eagle nose. There are multiple shots of him from a profile look. To not mess up with your front look, I'd suggest editing the side profile just moving vertex around the Z axis (blue arrow), so you are not actually changing your face features from an X-Y perspective.

4. Finally, and this is a big if, meaning there's 0 need for you to waste your time on this if you don't want, you could do some texture work and restructure his face around a little to give him a more adult look. The reference you used is from a few years back and while it's probably the best one outhere, it feels outdated with his grown-up look he has right now.
