Alright, gang. Sorry for the long time in between posts. I've been working A LOT on both updating the roster files and fixing all of the errors that Sko and I found after pasting. I sent him all 2k13 and 2k14 files this morning and I believe my work is completely done. In this update, you will find:
- Updated play types based on era, position, player type, and statistical data
- Updated names (all spelling should be correct now)
- Updated height and weight. A lot of players who noticeably gained weight will gain weight from roster to roster ie Eric Snow, Vin Baker
- Updated primary and secondary positions
- Updated shot in traffic, shot off dribble, ball handling, off ball dribbling, ball security, offensive low post, defensive low post, and on ball defense ratings
- Offensive and defensive awareness has been personalized for every player. For example, Ray Allen typically had a defensive awareness rating in the 70's. Then, he went to Miami and, based on my statistical formulas, he had a few seasons where that went up to the 90's because he was on such a good defensive team. I made sure that his best defensive seasons had mid 70's defensive awareness ratings. I did this for every player's offensive and defensive awareness ratings.
- Speed and quickness ratings have been revamped for every player to make bigger gaps in explosiveness and speed between players and positions.
- Vertical, dunk, standing dunk, special layup ratings (for 2k14 only), dunk tendency, and alley-oop tendency have been updated for every single player in the mod. Vertical was based off of in-game ability to jump (in reference to how close to the rim the top of the player's head and hand gets during gameplay) and NOT on combine numbers. Players who don't reach a certain height based on their vertical leap, physical height, and how high their hand gets in relationship to the rim will NOT have the ability to dunk. For example, Zion Williamson has a 45 inch vertical leap and is 6'6 tall. This means that, in a training setting, the top of his head gets 3 inches over the rim (45 inches + 78 inches = 123 inches. Rim is 120 inches from floor.) There are times where the top of his head is even with the rim during gameplay, but I found no photographic or video evidence that his head has been 3 inches above the rim during NBA gameplay. I understand this method of calculating vertical rating will be controversial. If you desire to change individual ratings, feel free. There will most likely be no further updates after this one.
- Post up tendency and pick and roll tendency have been updated for 2k14
- Post move and post shot tendencies have been updated for all players. There are now 4 types of low post players: Power, Traditional, Finesse, and Mid-Range. These types of players have separations in the amount of post moves that are assigned to them based on their low post rating and position. This should add a great deal of diversity to the post game.
- Pre-drive dribbling tendencies and dribbling tendencies have been updated for every player based on position, ball handling rating, and era.
Also, Lady Culture, Sko, and myself had NUMEROUS conversations about individual players and I implemented a number of edits to specific players to make this mod as sim as possible. Guys, we left no stone unturned. This is by far the most comprehensive and sim update that we have ever produced.
That being said, my editing days are largely done. I bought a new house a month ago and we take possession Friday. A great deal of my time at home will be maintaining the property (20 acres), working on the house, and enjoying life with my wife and kids.

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project
Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts
- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks
- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player
- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play
