I gave it a try, and it doesn't appear so. I'm sure textures can be converted, but using them directly will crash the game.

no, no :), i meant using 2k12 mods in 2k11. there is so much retro stuff for 2k12 that you could use in 2k11.

John reeb, i think it's too much that you work on all those games, you should focus on just one game - 2k11 or 2k10.

also, it's still unclear to me what are you planning to do, season mods (like ubr/urb) or season teams (like dee's ultimate classic roster)? :)
