OK, fellas. I've completed the retro edits for 1985-1999 rosters and I'm in the process of pasting them now. Here is a list of most everything that has been overhauled and my methodology to the edits. Honestly, I've changed so many formulas and updated so much that I'm sure I'm missing something. This is the single-biggest update ever to this mod and no other update to this mod even comes close. As soon as I'm done pasting everything, I'll send to Sko and he can release.
- Names were corrected
- Primary and secondary positions were updated based on information from basketball-reference.com
- Height and Weight was checked and updated
- Play initiator was updated based on position type and a touches tendency threshhold
- Go to 3pt was updated based on 3pt tendency thresshold
- Play types were updated based on a combination of primary/secondary position, team strategy, pass rating, and shot location tendencies.
- 3pt shot ratings are season-specific but were also scaled to normalize ratings for players to eliminate statistical outliers. I also gave players who didn't shoot 3's because of the era to have some ability to do so but kept their 3pt shot tendency season-specific.
- I calculated inside, close, and mid range shot ratings by using a formula that kept FG% accurate and accounted for position type and player skill level.
- Dunk, Standing Dunk, Vertical rating, and dunk tendency are all correlated now and are based off height, weight, age, athleticism of the player, and approximately how high the player's head was able to be in relation to the rim on layups/dunks. This makes a MASSIVE difference in realism.
- Offensive and Defensive ratings were calculated with formulas then adjusted by player to eliminate exaggerated influences to those ratings based on team. For example, Ray Allen statistically calculated to somewhere in the 60's to low 70's for defensive awareness during the course of his career but that rating spiked to the 90's when he went to the Celtics and Heat. He was not a shutdown defender by any stretch, so regardless of what team he was on, his rating will be appropriate for him. Again, this was done for all players in the mod.
- Shot in traffic, shot off dribble, dribbling ratings, on ball defense, offensive and defensive low post ratings, and consistency rating are all based off of offensive/defensive ratings and position-specific scales.
- All statistical ratings are season-specific but were normalized by player to eliminate statistical outliers.
- Signature skills were removed to enhance realism.
- Take shot and 3pt tendency are season-specific but normalized by player to eliminate statistical outliers.
- Inside, Close, and mid range shot tendency were calculated similarly to shot ratings mentioned above.
- Putback, Drive the lane, pull up, Triple threat, triple threat shot, no triple threat, hop layup, spin layup, runner, fadeaway shot, stepback shot, and spin shot were calculated based off shot tendencies and player type. Eurostep was lowered drastically except for European players. This is a MASSIVE addition to gameplay and realism.
- Pre-dribble and dribbling tendencies were updated based on ball handling ratings, position, and also personalized for select players.
- Draw foul tendency is season-specific.
- FOR 2K13 ONLY - All freelance tendencies were updated based on position, player style, touches tendency, and era.
- All post tendencies were updated based on player style, position, and low post rating.
- FOR 2K14 ONLY - Pick and roll and Post up tendencies were updated based on a formula including various shot location tendencies and position.
- Coaching profiles were updated to display a spectrum of gameplay differences to account for all teams from 1960 to current.

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project
Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts
- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks
- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player
- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play
