Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Cena going over them as absolutely the wrong call. Backstage politics struck again on that occasion.

A lot of the talent are reportedly vowing to never go back and ready to leave the company as soon as they're able. Can't blame them.

Maybe they'll give Bray a one-off title like Daniel Bryan before debuting a Blue Universal belt

I love it when there's botches now they say "may not have gotten all of it", making it even more obvious and pointing it out

I get it when the move really "didn't get all of it", but when it's said over something that's totally off, it doesn't help at all.

In their defense, it's a tough situation for the announcers to be in when someone completely whiffs on a move and their opponent sells it anyway. Try to acknowledge it as a "glancing blow" or by saying "looks like they didn't get all of it", and it comes off as a bit silly. If they don't say anything it's just as obvious it's a botch, and by trying not to draw attention to it, they end up drawing attention to it.

New Firefly Fun House, and it's a shame that the Universal Championship still has a red strap:

I guess it's still one of WWE's colours, even if Smackdown itself is the Blue Brand.

Not much of a surprise as that had been rumored a while back. I don't think we'll see him on actual wwe programming. It'll be like Joe Rogan in UFC where he is hired by UFC and not espn so he doesn't show up on ESPN shows. I can see Punk basically staying on backstage due to his contract being with Fox and not WWE

aw man I forgot about X-Pac! I was a fan of the 123 Kid and I really liked his DX entrance and the Bronco Buster

I'm not expecting him to show up anytime soon either. Maybe it lays the groundwork for one more match or some special appearances, but I'm not holding my breath.

Wow what an action packed episode of NXT. The best match I've seen in a while in Lio Rush and Angel Garza (who's really grown on me), Finn heel promo, and a women's ladder match with a few crazy spots!

And an appearance from Bayley to add more fuel to the fire before Survivor Series. Wouldn't be surprised if she wins that one as she arguably needs it more than Becky, though Becky's been eating pinfall losses in tags with Charlotte, which she really shouldn't.

I can see Shayna taking the loss to whoever they decide to win. It would allow Bayley to win but keep Becky from taking the L

If Becky isn't winning, then she definitely shouldn't be taking the fall, so that works for me.

I'm guessing the NXT representatives at Survivor Series is on a bit of (kayfabe) disadvantage since all of them would be competing in Takeover a day before that.

Man, what an episode of NXT. Very badass of Mia Yim to finish the match even though she got clipped in the face with the ladder from Io Shirai's kick. And even taking that bump in the end, too.

Big show for NXT last night. It was to be expected on the go home show before Survivor Series and the open invitation from HHH. It was cool to see the "returning" superstars but then I thought about it and virtually every member of the roster at this point has gone through FCW/NXT

My subscription for the Network was expired after the payment for this month was not processed. And then when I try to click "restart subscription", I get a black screen with a loading circle around it. I've reached out to support in regards to this. Wow, just in time for Takeover and Survivor Series.

I tried again, my status is set as "PENDING" at first; and then when I refresh it, it becomes "EXPIRED" again. :|

EDIT: upon checking my email, it says the same error of not being able to process my payment.

Just watched NXT through "old means" but yeah.

I remember Rhea Ripley when I first saw her in the Mae Young Classic, thought she was a very pretty lady. Now she looks like she can legitimately kill me. And you. And all of us here.

The IC title got a new design and while I agree that the previous one looks great, I think it's also due to a redesign when all of the other belts (sans the US belt) got redesigned. I think it doesn't look bad.

Looks better than a belt with a big W on it.
