This is got to one of the scummiest threads I’ve ever seen. So far you’ve released nothing like that you’ve previewed and just strung people along.

So, now you are breaking the rules (officially). I dont believe you can put conditions on your releases (500 views for a release, or X number of subs for a release). You are treading the line (If you have not already crossed it), and if you have not seen from the comments, you are making quite a few people angry.

This isn't that type of a community, we dont put "conditions" around releases. You also stated you would remove adfly from preview videos, yet you put them back on that most recent video preview.

You are probably not far from having this thread locked up, or you yourself banned. I am not a mod, neither is Bluejay or anybody else who has spoken up and complained, but it's pretty obvious what is going on here, and it is nothing short of toxic.

It would be smart to change your approach, because the way you are operating right now is not good for the NLSC.

Mediafire, the service I believe you’re using to upload your mods after people have shifted through the ad-links, literally gives a direct number of downloads for each file you upload. YouTube does the same thing via views but yet you stick ads in front of preview videos. Saying you’re using it for statistical purposes is such terrible rationale. Plus your own post essentially says “here’s the ad-link video preview if you want to give me money”.

Any reason why you’re only doing the ones looyah has released? I’m really curious about this and you’ve answered next to no questions about it. There’s this mysterious “2k14 lighting” that hasn’t been released. At this point without hearing what you’re editing, you’re essentially putting ads on looyahs releases. Maybe I’m wrong, I’ll compare them tonight to see if I can find differences.

That makes sense and I can appreciate that. I tried to download your V3 of the Clippers and when you go to load into a home game, it crashes. Any idea why? I was trying to compare the upgrade from Looyah's lighting.

As a fellow modder, i'd have to ask if you have permission to use looyh's mod, cause if not then i'd say this is a poor modding practice. not to mention, you've been profiting off 2k's and looyh's work (a small amount is still a profit) with your use of ads.

Well, some of us investigated and we know how the game illumination works : so what we've found is that you produced mostly nothing from your side to improve the lighting : you just mix files from others.

And your "releases" cant be compared to what you shown with your screenshots and your videos.

So from weeks, you only produce spam, adfly honey pot, and fund request, and released in fact compilations work from real modders, without their authorization and with missing credits.

Nobody is saying you have an exact copy of looyah, the statement was made that all you did was take looyah’s sXXX.iff file and add Michaellutz’s lighting. Having looked into it, I was able to create the exact thing as “Deibys global lighting” by just making this basic change. It’s a little disingenuous to advertise it as your product when this is the only change.

@DEIBYS To me it doesn't matter how much effort you put into it or how good it is, your general attitude and the way you've gone about it has been WACK. Seeking pity for hours of work and trying to meet Adfly & page view goals is a bad look - almost everybody, even those that don't contribute projects to the community, spends hours and hours modding, and why? Because they enjoy modding and enjoy the game.

Several modders with many years of experience have called your ways into question. They aren't stupid, nor does that make them "negative". That just means they are calling you out on your shit. They are doing what a community is supposed to do which is keep one another in check if somebody is doing something that is questionable. If we don't, then how can we expect 2K devs to care even the slightest about any input/complaints we have about the game? Especially when there are people like you that are not only trying to profit off of THEIR proprietary files, but also off of OTHER PEOPLE'S work from the community? It's basically like a slap in the face to 2K and to all those in the community who go about it the right way.
