Gameplay editing tool (request)

Why is NBA2k the only game that doesnt have any tools or mods for the gameplay each year?? which file contain the gameplay and the sliders? The lack of fouls of on jumpshots, blocking foul and the absence of charges is very frustrating and 2k doesnt seem to have any interest on fixing that

I don't think that answers his question at all. Does that cheat table address the issue of shooting fouls? Or is it just sliders? He's talking about how in Madden guys are modding actual animations and collisions and things of that nature its way more advanced vs what we have for 2K....Goodness sometimes this board is so toxic, try to actually answer a question instead of shutting someone down.

Michael Lutz had previous mods that sped up animations but outside of that, I’ve never seen the type of mod that Madden has. Those overall gameplay mods are incredible with the adjustments to animations, AI, etc. I’m not sure if it’s just the fact that frostbite is easier to break into vs 2k, or if it’s just not something that people have really deep dived into. I know Michael Lutz isn’t very active on here this year but he’d probably be the first place to look.

Shady Mike, I did not try to shut him down at all.
I thought he was talking about sliders. I did not see any one else providing feedback at the time. I made my post as info and also to bump the thread.
I don't know anything about Madden mods at all so I had no frame of reference in that regard.

I would love to collaborate with anybody who has any info about where/how to mod these types of things. I think that collaboration will be essential because a lot of modders seem to exist in their own little space and aren't too eager to share their secrets. We all have little pieces to the puzzle but it can be quite difficult to expand the scope of your research beyond a couple areas of the game if you're starting from scratch in a new area of discoveries.

For example, I personally have dug extremely deep into the (binary) model files of the players and have sought to account for every single section within the file which includes 10 sections for geometry data and then 140-ish sections for facial and other animations. It's been over a year that I've been doing this digging and I just recently accomplished this. Now I know which section is which for the facial animations and the next step is to figure out exactly HOW that data is stored in each section so that it can be parsed and imported into Blender for editing and then saved back into the file. That's ultimately what stuff like this comes down to. As of now, I know how to transfer the facial animations of one player to another - but I am not able to edit them yet.

If we can share information and save the next modder a bunch of time discovering these types of things for themselves, we'll be able to get to more. I'd be more than happy to share info I have gathered and I would be interested in expanding my research into some of the more global gameplay animations if anyone else has any info gathered from their own research that would save me time as well.

I can attest to Trevor's sentiments. There are certainly some modders that have great info, insight, and there own tools/ processes.
Some people just choose not to post publicly or at all until something strikes their interest. Hopefully more people choose to step forward and help us continue progressing on the modding front.

I couldn't agree more. We are a community here, we should not treat our fellow modders as competition. As for sharing, I've always wanted to make a full cyberface tutorial. However, not being able to express myself clearly hinders me from being able to do so. I can create a video of my workflow but I don't think people will learn much from it, especially for those who are new to modding. So I was thinking of just posting it and entertaining all the questions in a thread - if i were to make one. Should I make one?
