That movement looks CLEAN...like literally what Dee was talking about where each step has weight. It’s to early to tell but if they sacrificed visuals for gameplay and it paid off, I’m in.

Cool. Didn't notice it last year. But I won't be surprised if they removed them this year.

The game here started like it was a online game with no cinematic and intro match. Maybe it was skipped fast by the players, but its not the 2K style to make a game without TV details. So, for me it's just not the finale version. The court is a proof ^^

The Wall change of speed is exciting gameplay improvement (in my opinion, of course). If that first step quickness can be adjusted in the roster (via "ball rating" versus the old "ball handling"), then the roster makers here and on OS are going to make some amazing rosters.

From what I'm hearing, Takeover abilities are going to work more like Traits in NBA Live, in that they can be swapped in and out. Builds also sound a lot more flexible so there'll be less restrictions, but probably some very powerful configurations.

I only watched a few minutes of that leaked footage, but does it look to anyone else like it's just uncontested driving and layups? The movement does feel "weightier", which seems nice, and the pace is slowed down from the NBA Jam pace we're used to seeing out of the box in these games, but it was just a series of easy drives for easy layups. Maybe the players are just bad, and the animations looked nice, but that's concerning.

My hope is that through help defense sliders this can be addressed. That and I hope the best defenders can compete. They seemed to focus on that a bit with the new badges. For example, I saw they had “Clamps”. Maybe that’ll translate.

The gameplay here isnt important, they played in Pro difficulty.

It's always the way with this kind of footage. There are a few things we can glean from it regardless, but the overall quality is also affected by the ability of those on the sticks and the difficulty setting they're playing on. Movement is looking good, though.

BTW regarding shoes in the game since I saw PUMA ad I hope we could pick all shoes in the game. Like New Balance, Big Baller Brand, etc. Sucks not all shoes are selectable in 2K every year.

I think it ultimately comes down to licensing with the individual companies, and then how much space and time 2K is willing to dedicate to sneakers that could potentially be spent elsewhere. I'm with you in that I'm a huge sneaker guy and always want them to be incredibly in depth and accurate, but I know that my students, for example, could not care less about it. There's a lot of juggling with respect to trying to make the game as marketable as possible, and I'd imagine that shoes are relatively down the list of priorities, when they can already boast about how many different varieties they offer.

I agree with the licensing issues. It's just that since there are BBB (Ball), New Balance (Kawhi), etc. shoes that are already in the game but are locked to certain players. I just wish that it is also selectable in CAP or Edit Player. It's already in the game give us the option to use them.
