Cousins Injured, Lakers Considering Howard

First of all, some terrible misfortune for DeMarcus Cousins: https://nba.nbcsports.com/2019/08/15/re ... tears-acl/

Shams Charania wrote:Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has suffered a torn ACL in his knee, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

With JaVale McGee the only centre on the roster, the Lakers are apparently looking at a familiar face: https://sports.yahoo.com/lakers-reporte ... 07498.html

One guy they want to talk to is former Laker Dwight Howard, currently on the Grizzlies roster (but expected to be bought out), reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

If so, that's certainly surprising, but I suppose time heals all wounds and pickings are slim. Meanwhile, Howard just continues to bounce around the league, though this time would be a first in that it's a second stint.

Howard might have much better chemistry with Lebron than he did with Kobe but he still has to play good and accept a smaller role.

They just need a big body to stick in at center for 10-15 mpg and I think he fits the bill
