Getting a player to look passable (standards may differ) in game is not too hard... But to really do it justice and get a good, clean conversion it will require at least some basic knowledge modding knowledge and experience in Blender - ideally an intermediate level of experience (though not required). Not to discourage anybody from trying, but to let you know ahead of time what you will be getting into.
Realistically, not knowing the basics as a starting point will be unlikely to achieve the desired results. Ideally there would be a conversion process that is mostly painless even for those with no experience, but that is not the case. While I've automated most of the steps involving grunt work, their unfortunately is no substitute for making edits manually in Blender
As for everyone else, you should be able to achieve the desired results and with the final product it will be up to you how much attention you give to some of the details. I've been trying to make the process as short and repeatable as possible. There's a certain order to the steps but after a couple times and getting it down hopefully it will be fairly quick.
