Online or Offline Gamer?

Postby Andrew on Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:56 pm

Same deal as the topic over in the NBA Live 19 section. I'm wondering what kind of demographics we have around these parts as far as offline (or single player) vs online play is concerned. For the purposes of the poll, modes that have online content but single player gameplay count as offline.

In recent years, I've moved closer to 50/50 due to play 2K Pro-Am, but this year, it's probably somewhere between 70/30 and 80/20 in favour of offline/single player modes. Unfortunately, the online experience just isn't what it was a few years ago, so it's been harder to enjoy a mix like I had been.

100% offline
i tried to play online 1vs1 on 2K17, but slow servers in Europe and loosers who paused the game trying to force me to quit...

Tried to do some online stuff, the input lag was unbearable.

Like... My main game is Arma 3 where FPS dipping into 20s and server sometimes lagging behind resulting in AI not dying immediately after getting shot is normal.
i still couldn't stand 2K's random input lag where timing of shots was literally impossible.

I always seem to get lag spikes on open shots. I've heard that there are gamers who use lag switches, but I'm more inclined to think it's the game and the servers, especially given my location.

Dunno about that it didn't really matter for me in a sense I tapped shooting button and sometimes instead of pump fake it managed to somehow do a late release.

That's happened to me and other members of the NLSC squad on multiple occasions.
