Despite earlier reports that he still wasn't good to go, Durant is in fact back in the lineup for Game 5.

What a fucking clinic by Leonard here at the end. Would be incredible to see him lead the Raptors to the title and then leave

Kyle Lowry literally threw away the game. Leonard's heroics were for nought.

How bad was that timeout call by Nurse. Raptors had the Warriors on the ropes but that break killed all their momentum.

Nice, congrats to the Warriors. All heart, a lot of things going against them including the refs.

Ran on fumes in the 4th, but got it done.

Hoping they somehow pull this series out. If not, I am cool with kids looking up to Kawhis game, and the Raptors brand of basketball.

Apparently he used it because he didn't want to lose it. Hindsight being 20/20, definitely the wrong call.

Raptors are just tough. Tough as fuck I would say. The Warriors played pretty much their A game, true 3 point modern era ball and hit 20 threes on near 50%. And yet, the Raptors were 1 error away from taking this one.

Props to Klay, he seems to come up big on crucial games. Also KD was stupid to even try playing but respect for trying. Media was busy making up the story and perhaps put pressure on KD to try. Just yesterday, big headline was reading the Warriors players dont understand why KD isnt playing, misleading a lot of fools as usual .KD has a contract to sign and long term career to think about, that was a risky move to give it a go. Hope he is alrite.

Achilles injury confirmed. Tough for KD. Such an illustrious career until this point. Warriors executives got the blame on themselves, big props to them here.

Exactly....Nick Nurse pulled a 'Pete Carroll', snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Kawhi was full-on robot mode before the timeout, they could've closed it out with that momentum.

What a game. Really thought it was trophy time when Leonard hit that ridiculous contested 3

Was it the timeout that did Toronto in or GSW finally defending that high pick correctly? Klay fighting over the screen one series and then Iggy (?) trapping/forcing Leonard to pass it

how can you not be rooting for both teams to win

Basketball is a game of runs....you don't stop YOUR OWN RUN!

Toronto's execution was shaky after that timeout. Nurse is getting killed in the sports media, and deservedly so.

Fan reactions to Durant's injury in the immediate aftermath have seemingly turned the Warriors from villains to underdog heroes. They're going to be fired up in Game 6; the question is if it'll translate into having enough firepower to force Game 7.

Probably because those fans feel sorry now. Fans were doubting seriousness of KD's injury. Media played their part as well although they now changed their tune and saying KD should have never played. It's just ridiculous.

KD is a game changer. I for one don't believe the Raptors would have looked this good if KD was able to play in the series from the start. But no excuses. Love and Irving were dead too and nobody gave a shit about CLE. Winning is what matters at this stage of the season as everyone's banged up so they say.

Game 6 will be all Warriors, then the Raptors will take it in game 7. That's my prediction. Anyone else?

i can see toronto fired up to win the franchise's first ever championship in game 6. the raptors will get down early as usual then wear down the W's. the caveat being iggy finds his inner robert horry,

gotta tip your hat to Curry & hamstrung Klay extending the series. the calls going against them, the late TO's, kawhi doing his robot thing. i surely thought it was over

fair point on CLE when love & irving were hurt. i don't think i would be "tired" if somehow GSW won on the backs of coach kerr & splash brothers.

just hoping for another great game (and a game 7)

I used to place more stock in the idea of asterisks, but these days I find it kind of petty. At the end of the day you can only play the opponent that shows up, and you still have to get the job done. You can note factors like injuries, bad calls, whatever, but there are plenty of other things that happen during a series that determine its outcome. Good fortune and misfortune alike affect everyone at some point.

It's possible to get too petty and picky if we're going to start determining which champions actually "deserved" to win, or downplaying championships because the opponent wasn't strong enough for whatever reason (injuries, suspensions, weak conferences, underdog got through, etc). At a certain point it becomes excuses and sour grapes.

Meanwhile, a lot of players around the league seem to be calling out team doctors and executives for Durant going out there and playing. They probably have a point, though I do think Durant has to bear some of the responsibility himself. His competitive drive and desire to contribute are admirable, but only he knows how he feels and if he still insisted on taking the risk, that was his call as much as anyone else's.

Barring any other Warrior injuries. I predict the final score as 104-100 Warriors.

Would love to see them pull it off.
