Hi guys
I think i've made an interesting discover about generic/shared textures ... to make them unique !
So for illustrate my comment, i will talk about generic stadium ads for current arenas which contains these ads : beat / footlocker / reeses's puff, spalding, statefarm, tissot, new era
but it should work for any shared/generic textures.
So, this generic ads file is in sXXX.iff (s000.iff = 76ers arena, 001 for Bucks etc...)
There's a file named ad_sheet_final.d1fe5c55d66ef31c.dds, this file should contain the ads but its size = 0 (there are a lot of files at 0kb that we can edit in the same way).
So if you look for this file in NBA2K Explorer, you can find it into 0C archive, so ive extracted it and i've got a dds file 136ko
But this file cant be open with an image editor.
So i tried to unzip it : it works and then i've got a new file ad_sheet_final.d1fe5c55d66ef31c, same name, without .dds extension and a bigger size 683k.
I add the .dds extension and and this is THE file i wanted and now i can edit it :
After editing and saving the file, i just copy it into sXXX.iff and then i have a unique dornas texture for one arena
From my tests, this works for ALL the generic/shared items, jumbotron, backboards etc... Repeat this on each arena, and no more generic textures
Here's an example on 2K17 but it works as well on 2K19 :
