3. it is very very very rare for a center to be able to dominate the paint and to hit a jumper. hakeem and ewing were these kinds of centers. nowadays the only reason a center can hit a jumper is cause he is to soft to go inside. this is not an insult to shaq. a centers job is supposed to be inside and though i dont like shaq i give him a thumbs up for doing it.

1. Shaq is the most dominate center at this time, and if you say Ben Wallace could stop him one-on-one, you must have some serious mental deficiencies.

2. Neither can Ben Wallace, there are very few centers who shoot about 70% free throws.

3. Maybe because he's always under the basket and doesn't have to rely on jumpers.

4. Have you ever seen him behind a play, when the play starts he is always where he sould be.

6. How can you compare Jordan to Shaq? Shaq is obviously better at what he does, and Jordan is better at what he does. These guys play two totally different position. The only reason Yao started in the All-Star game is because of popularity, not skill. And who cares if Yao is better at jumpers and free throws, THAT IS NOT A CENTERS JOB. Shaq is still more dominate than Yao. And Yao has no finesse at all, his game is ugly. Shaq has some of the best footwork for a center in the entire league.
