Frankly, it makes the situation with Jimmy Butler look even worse as well. Even after all the injuries, Derrick Rose is still trying to recapture his old form and find success. Butler is pouting and refusing to play.

NBA has to stop this kind of behaviour ; you dont want to play, no money and long suspension.

Agreed. At the very least there should be a fine/forfeiture of pay, because it's actively refusing to fulfil a contractual obligation.

I mean, I agree it is kinda cool to see a performance like that from someone you don't expect to do it, and a person who has battled a lot of injuries.

That said, admittedly I did not like Rose at all when he was with Chicago so it was hard for me to sympathize for him. All this talk about perseverance and not giving up, but people forget he broke in New York and went back to Chicago unannounced and he also gave up in Cleveland after another injury

get it DRose. happy for the guy. it was really a big surprise seeing him so vocal in the timeouts in the 4th. you rarely saw that in chicago. you could see him crying already during in the last timeouts.

Crunch time in the Bucks/Celtics game was a sight to behold. First there was Boston letting every lead dwindle, but then when it came down to the final minute, both teams seemed determined to let the game slip through their fingers: Antetokounmpo missing a reverse layup, a sloppy turnover by the Celtics after the Bucks used up their foul to give, Bledsoe missing one of the free throws that would've tied up the game then missing a layup badly after Irving made a couple of free throws to put Boston up by three...basically an exchange of messy plays and bad decisions. It was still fun as close games usually are by default, but it was sloppy. Both teams can learn from that one.

Looks like Melo may be out in Houston.

While Carmelo Anthony is absent with an illness tonight against the Spurs, the Rockets and Anthony are discussing his role and how they might still be able to proceed together for the rest of the season, league sources tell ESPN. Talks are fluid.

At the very least, it's not all peaches and gravy, as Brad Miller would say.
