Seeing the team trivia screen certainly makes me feel nostalgic. It's one of those features that's a bit outmoded now, I suppose.

That's one feature that should be put back, I miss the trivia questions as well during half-time in NBA Live SNES version.

Charlotte, North Carolina

Grant Hill's near triple double performance is not enough to give Pistons it's first win. Glenn Rice carried the offense of Charlotte Hornets pouring 30 points including the perimeter jumper to make it a 5-point margin with 1:01 remaining in the 4th. Hornets led as much as 12 points in the 3rd but Pistons clawed it's way back and tied it at 79 with 8:54 left in the game. "Grant [Hill] is like a playing coach on the court, he sees everything, we have to double team him every now and then, we have to make him work extra." Larry Johnson said who struggled the whole game due to foul trouble. "It's lights out when Glenn [Rice] has the ball, they made good plays for him and we paid for that." Coach Doug Collins said during the post-game interview. Rookie George Zidek surprised everyone with his efficient scoring, missing only 1 out of 9 attempts.

Michael Jordan scored 39 points while Dennis Rodman grabbed 14 rebounds, 6 assists to make it 3 straight wins for the Chicago Bulls and handing Raptors their 3rd straight loss 101-106. Damon Stoudamire is proving to GM Isaiah Thomas that they did not make a mistake as the rookie scored 29 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 9 assists. Raptors put a good fight until the end, making a 13-4 run, 8 points from Damon, Raptors almost tied the game at 100 when Willie Anderson missed a layup against Jordan with 38.5 seconds remaining in the 4th, Bulls took advantage of a fastbreak where Pippen scored on jumper in the right corner. Fellow rookie Jimmy King showed flashes of his athletic ability and scoring, Jimmy scored 16 points and for the 1st time in NBA history, 2 rookies were the top scorers of an expansion team. "The kid [Damon] has big potential, he is quick, has good shooting range and ball handling skills. Good work by their office." Phil Jackson said when asked during the post game interview.

Are you playing any of the games? I watched a few of your videos and seems like you were spectating them. Nonetheless, I like the idea of a full season following the league over just following a team and really like the custom graphics you're doing! Looks great.

Thanks wdt92, glad you liked it. I really try to make it as realistic as I can, from graphics to gameplay. Please subscribe so you'll get updates automatically.
I did play 2 UTAH games of the season but most of these are cpu vs cpu.

Looking forward to the next game. If I remember right, this was the Dan Majerle Cavaliers year. Right between his run in Phoenix and then to his run in Miami. Their point guard was definitely the consistent player too with Terrell Brandon. He was like a consistent 17-20 points on call.
With that said, Indiana shouldn't have too many troubles against this team. They (Indiana) were still a top-tier team in the Eastern Conference, even though I think in '96 they got knocked off early in real life and that really began the internal problems with Coach Larry Brown.

From memory, Reggie Miller was injured come the Playoffs, and only made a couple of appearances on route to a first round loss.

I think you're right. He only played a game or 2. I didn't know there was even turmoil with Brown until Jalen Rose began saying it on Grantland a few years back. But yeah, perhaps missing their #1 option was more of the issue.

Correct wdt92, 1st and only year where Thunder Dan spent his career with the Cavs. Cavs (0-2) are hungry to get their 1st win, losing by 5 against Heat and 1 against Magic while Pacers are still clean with 2-0 standing, should be an exciting game.

Video Highlights Raptors vs Bulls: -Chicago Bulls game rituals "What time is it" and player introduction
-Jordan's acrobatic, fadeaways , mid-range shots and poster dunks
-Rodman being Rodman..rebounds and fastbreak passes
-Stoudamires quick crossovers, scoring spree and passes
-Jimmy King takes Jordan on 1 on 1 several times
-Harper and Pippen's stingy defense
-Kerr's 3-point threat

That intro had me look up to remind myself if the typical Bulls intro was usually that long. It's so drastically different from how that's done now and really did a great job granting the experience that the Bulls in the '90s were a spectacle.
Just curious, with 2K14: one of my least favorite things about the game was how hard it was to get OReb. Have you found that to be the case with your time playing/spectating the game? Particularly in the video, I noticed a few spots where I thought Rodman was done a disservice and should have had more offensive boards than he did.

Thanks for the kind words wdt92. Right you are, the default game sliders and ratings made it really hard to have an offensive rebound.
Here's the actual box score.

Glad you point it out. I'm kinda happy how close the result of Rodman's game against the actual box score, he had 5 ORB vs 2 in actual, even the actual scored points of MJ. Hopefully it continues that way on all games as season progresses.

Thanks Andrew. Generally, I used the player stats for the last 3 years to arrive with tendencies and attributes.

The stats really do line-up. Excellent job on the rosters!

Clutch win for the Pacers. I take it Smits is injured?

A clutch win that they were down also. That Schintzius was 7' too, so it's not like they missed Smits as much in size. Though skills... I think they may have had different career paths from the start. No offense to him.
The stats really are close to real life, by the way. So kudos on that, it's really impressive. How long did it take you to mess around with them?

Yeah I think Smits and Mckey were injured in the early part of the season, same thing with Tyrone Hill of the Cavs. I'm allocating minutes based on actual minutes played.

I don't know to be honest, at least a year, and still doing it. That's the same reason I'd like watching CPU vs CPU games, to further check other flaws that can be improved. And I like what I'm seeing.
