I'm sure it was Lakers... if you're talking about the Wizards era, then it was Miami

I still can't believe we beat the Bulls in 95-96, I even remember watching the game, Michael Jordan banked in a shot from an awkward angle but the referees discounted the basket. We got lucky.

Any time you open your mouth in america you get punished. I mean I live here too, but seriously look at this rauf incident. I never knew about Abdul Rauf before, but that's ridiculous. Losing your career because you don't stand for silly patroitic pump up the crowd stuff. It should be about basketball skills and only that.

Yeah, I think he was with the Lakers, too. MJ tried his turnaround against another defender and EJ came from behind and blocked it away.
@VlaDiv
I can't remember the whole story. Can't tell you, if his career was over because of this dispute

He played another couple of years for the Kings after being traded in the 1996 offseason, then a year for the Grizzlies in 2000/2001. Although his personal beliefs affected his popularity, I don't think he was forced to retire because of them or the incident with the national anthem when he was with the Nuggets.

not that it really matters to anyone but i watched every since game of the 95/96 bulls including 5 from the stands off of season tickets bought by my uncle the year before while michael was retired. from what i know they no longer sell season tickets so much in advance anymore...
anyways, i miss those bulls and although i still watch almost every bulls game every season a little bit of me dies every time. i'm 26 years old and i've been a die-hard bulls fan since i could figure out what was going on. i have bulls stuff from at early as 1986 and to put it shortly - if we don't start winning soon i'ma take out the knee-caps of every star player in the league who's not a bull until we win it all.
just wanted you all to know how upset i've become over the years.
i mean damnit, even the frikkin pistons, celtics, bucks, mavs, and kings are respectable to good in their divisions these days - why the hell can't we rebuild any faster?!?

i remember seeing dee brown blocking his fadeway and some dude on washington doing the same. and these weren't strips or tips. these were clean blockss. those were the only 2 times i've seen someone pack his shot one-on-one.
add shawn kemp that list

.. i was watchin game 6 of the nba finals against the sonics and it was a pretty crazy sequence.. seattle turned the ball over and kemp was the only one back on d, and i think it was pippen (or rodman) and jordan on the break.. anyways lets just say rodman was going to go up for the lay up but he decided to pass it off to jordan.. jordan leaps, cocks the ball behind his head w/ one hand about to dunk it and kemp gets up there at the peak of his jump and swatted it away.. his team mate retrieves the ball, kemp runs down the court, gets the ball back and hits a foul line j. pretty surprising how this guy turned to a balloon
